Perfect Doom port

Fantastic port. Takes me back to mid 1990’s! Works amazingly smooth on iPhone 15.

Legend!

Awesome! Legendary! The One and only! Recognizable!
And…what about porting of Doom III? ))

I bought this for a joke but also not

So doom 2 is one of my favorite doom games yeah sure doom 64 and doom 3 is peak but doom 2 has something that makes it stand out to me maybe the new enemies or it’s just a fun game in general anyways I’m gonna try to make doom run on a lemon powered crt!

It’s good

The only complaint is that to actually play well with touch controls, because you have to play claw in order to play optimally. Claw is fine for a little bit, but your hands will start to cramp up after a little bit. To avoid this, you can just use a controller, which still doesn’t excuse the poor optimization for touchscreen controls. In summary, it’s DOOM 2 with somewhat bad controls.

Amazing game worth money

There is a lot of levels guns demons and freedom in this game. If you play on a tablet the controls are perfect and has so much action

No Control Options

Theres no room to customize controls. They also charge you 5 dollars and dont give you any of the expansions right off the bat. The controls are so small that sometimes im moving and aiming and miss the fire button and get myself killed using the chainsaw or brass knuckles. This game is a mess. If you want to play on your phone youd have a better chance streaming off your pc or emulating other versions.

A Legendary FPS That Deserves a Much Higher Rating

DOOM II is an absolute masterpiece and a must-have for any FPS fan. The iOS version is extremely well optimized, with smooth performance, responsive controls (especially with a controller), and tons of content. You get the original 32 levels, plus bonus WADs like No Rest for the Living and The Master Levels – that’s hours of classic demon-slaying action.

The Super Shotgun is as satisfying as ever, the level design is legendary, and the music still slaps. The added cheat menu is a nice touch too for casual or nostalgic runs.

This game deserves WAY more than its current rating. If you’re a fan of retro shooters, or just want to see where modern FPS games came from, this is essential. Timeless, brutal, and brilliant.
5/5.

Disappointing

It runs far too quickly which makes controlling it using the on-screen controls very difficult. My iPad is practically a laptop these days, with a mouse and keyboard linked to it - so why on earth is there no way to map (or even any predefined control) to shoot the weapon! You can move using wasd, yet no button on the keyboard lets you shoot!! C’mon id, Bethesda - add keyboard and mouse support!

Ignore the naysayers

I don’t know why there’s a sect of Doom 2 haters on the internet saying this is no good. If you want more Doom, this delivers. It’s MORE Doom! The controls are great as well by the way, I’m having more fun on iPhone than I did on my Chromebook in school. I remember the pc controls being something dumb like having to use keys to aim and shoot instead of the mouse, this is just swipe, swipe, tap, boom, easy.

for doom II

i love this game but there is one thing you should add and that thing is MORE BOSSES! you should also make more doom mobile games and bring back mighty doom!you could also release doom eternal on mobile but pixelated!

Unplayable without controller

Exactly what the title says. Spent money on these just to get an unplayable version of Doom and Doom 2 due to awful touch controls. Should at least warn you before you buy.

Excellent with a controller.

This is a great experience with a controller. It’s the full classic Doom II experience with the added bonus of Final Doom AND curated custom level sets from the community (if you sign into your Bethesda account.) I have to take one star off for horrid touch controls and the fact that it isn’t bundled with the first Doom even though every other version on other platforms is. For $5 each though you get two of the best games ever made and hours of bonus content.

I love it

The beat game I have ever played in my entire life I love using Cheats and using all guns and being invisible

it’s doom 2 with very bad mobile controls

This just makes me wish there were iPhone source ports

Controls

Bro like what the heck? I paid 5 bucks for this port and I can’t even map the buttons to my liking like I can on the switch and PS4, it’s 2025 what is your deal Bethesda? Not worth 5 bucks l, I feel ripped off and want my money back.

Use a controller! (Ps4 or xbox One)

You can hook up a ps4 controller to your iPad. Otherwise its very hard to do things, including sprints that are necessary to pass certain levels. The controller actually makes it WAY easier than traditional PC gaming. Once you do that its excellent. I noticed one bug on map 7 where shots go through the wall, thats just part of doom though.
