If Apple reminders was this simple

Been trying to use Apple reminders to create a recurring to do list and every time I tried no matter setting it up as a weekly to do list I had to delete it and start all over each week because of no functioning settings. This app made it simple to set up a to do list that I can reuse each week and it automatically resets on Sunday after making it a weekly routine. Well worth the $4.99

Thanks for your review! I just released a major update of DoRepeat which addresses both the concerns you mention (and also comes with a number of other improvements). I hope you'll give DoRepeat another shot!

Immediately useful

I have longed for a simple checklist app for things I do repeatedly. I have embarrassed myself many times by forgetting to put a link in a newsletter, by posts getting published incorrectly, by forgetting the dumbest things that I know I'm smart enough to do... if only I remembered to do them. That's what makes this app so dreamy and perfect. For one, any process I do can now be a checklist. I'll never forget to do every part of the process. Second, the checklist resets every time I finish it, which is perfect. I often have to do the same process twice. Third, no data is collected. This makes it worth it, straight away. Fourth, indie developer. It feels good giving my money to someone who sweated at creating such a useful all by himself. If there were any critiques, it'd be that I'd like to see my lists backed up, just in case my phone dies. But, really, that's okay. Not sure what that's do for the data policy anyways. Overall, get the app if you're a workflow type of person. It helps to systemize processes so they can get done the same way, each time.

Thank you so much for the kind review! I’m glad that DoRepeat has proven so useful to you. Also, thanks for the suggestion of including a backup mechanism. I’m adding it to my list of features to investigate.

Unbelievably amazing

This is the app I have needed when I have downloaded almost every other one. This is the one that checks all my boxes. I am so faithful to this app, I cant wait until theres an ipad version.

Wow, thank you for your awesome review! I'm glad that the app is providing so much value to you.

Saving Grace

Ever since I’ve had to abandon Chore Checklist and find a new recurring list/task app, DoRepeat has been my saving grace, so thank you very much! There’s two features I’d like to request, one I think will be easier to implement than the other.

The harder of the two will, I think, be cloud backups.

For the easier, would it be possible to have each item on a list be set to certain calendar dates or certain days of the week? So, for example, let’s say I have a list of daily todos, I could set ‘take out the trash’ to Friday, and when it’s Friday that task will appear in the list; otherwise, it’s hidden (but could also show up when editing a list). I think this could reduce clutter and would add a great deal more utility to the app. Let me know if you need any help, I’m a developer too, or if I need to be clearer!

Again, thank you so much!

Widget please!

I second the request for a widget! Great otherwise!

Response from developer

Many thanks for the review! Widgets have just released today – hope you enjoy them! If you have other thoughts, feedback or ideas, please let me know by emailing support@do-repeat.com. I’d love to learn more about how you use the app in order to improve it in the future :)

Cool idea/App

Just purchased and this App seems like it was made for me. Would love to see developer create widget for the phones home screen for even easier access to lists

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your review! I’m happy that DoRepeat is working so well for you. Thanks for the suggestion to add a widget for launching lists quickly. I’ll look into that, especially with iOS 17 greatly expanding what widgets can do.  Cheers, Philipp Edit: Widgets have now released! Enjoy! If you have other thoughts, feedback or ideas, please let me know by emailing support@do-repeat.com. I’d love to learn more about how you use the app in order to improve it in the future.

Design ethic and function

I’m glad I kept looking, a solid foundation for a new app where the others are uninspiring. Looking forward to iCloud for device syncing.

A different to-do app

This app is super nice for tasks that you want to repeat - routines or checklists that come up again and again. I like that the lists reset once you’re done - they aren’t deleted, they reset to use again the next day.
I hope the next feature added will be integrated notifications!

Well done!

This app was written in only one week and the idea behind is pretty simple: there are tasks in life you need to do over and over again. If you want to follow those, this app is for you. Simple and clean. Now let’s wait for the Apple Watch App!

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you are enjoying the app 🙌🙂 I added your idea of a Watch app to the list of possible future expansions. Happy doing and repeating!
