About

Tasks earn stars. Stars earn rewards you agreed on. Plus: Travel Memories, Growth Tracking, Voice Diary. No accounts. No ads or cross-app tracking. Syncs via iCloud. DotDot Tasks turns your family's daily routine into a star-earning adventure. Parents assign the tasks, kids check them off, and every approved task earns stars to spend in the family reward shop. Beyond tasks, it keeps the little things of childhood: the places you've been, how they've grown, and what they had to say. TRAVEL MEMORIES: THE PLACES YOU'VE BEEN, AND HOW OLD THEY WERE - Start a trip and pick a few photos; the app finds where they were taken and sorts them into places - Every place becomes a photo sticker on a soft world map, or browse your trips on a timeline - Each place gets a memory stamp with the place name, the date, and how old each child was - Add a one-line memory and note your child's firsts: first whale shark, first flight - Photos without location data (screenshots, forwarded pictures) can be placed by hand - Family sharing: the other parent joins with your family code, and trips, places and photos sync via iCloud. Photos move over Wi-Fi only by default - No photo library or location permission needed. Shared travel data lives in the share owner's iCloud; anyone signed in to iCloud with the link can join and read/write it GROWTH TRACKING: WATCH THEM GROW UP - Log height and weight; BMI is worked out for you - See your child on the WHO growth curves and percentiles for their age - Changes since last month and over the past six months, laid out clearly - Each child has a chart of their own VOICE DIARY: YOUR KID'S OWN VOICE, KEPT - Tap once and start talking; speech becomes text as they speak, no typing needed - Add photos and pick today's mood to finish the entry - The original recording is kept, so years from now you can still hear how they sounded - Parents can export the whole diary as a backup: audio, photos, and an offline album web page - Speech recognition runs on the device; diaries stay on your device and your own iCloud THE KID SIDE - Tap to finish daily tasks and earn stars - Fireworks celebration when everything is approved - Spend stars in the reward shop you set up together - Level up the growth tree, keep streaks, and earn badges THE PARENT SIDE - Assign tasks by weekday, difficulty and star value - Review and approve with one tap, or return it for another try - Promises: when behavior slips, take a few stars, then let a make-up task earn them right back. Levels and badges never go backwards - Weekly and monthly summaries at a glance - Four interface styles: kids pick Doodle (the default), Candy Stickers or Storybook, and parents can also choose Classic. Everyone sets their own - Sync across devices. The other parent joins with your family code and, once the phone that created the family allows it, changes from both sides sync to the whole family, even with different Apple IDs PRIVACY FIRST - No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs - Family snapshots (no PIN, photos or diaries) are in the app's iCloud public database and readable with the family code. The snapshot's travel link lets signed-in iCloud users join and read/write photos and locations. Share codes and links only with people you trust - The parent PIN is stored only as a salted hash and is never shared with the other parent - Photos use the system picker only, so the app needs no photo library access Big touch targets let kids as young as 4 check off tasks on their own. For iPhone and iPad. Built by a parent, for parents.

1.17.0

Two-way sync between parents: whichever Apple ID the other parent joins with, the changes they make on their own device now reach the whole family. Two-way family sync - Fixed: tasks a child submitted on a device with a different Apple ID (for example, an iPad that joined with the family code) never reached the phone that created the family, so no stars could be added. Now they arrive, and once a parent approves, the stars show up on the child's device too - Parents who joined with your family code (or a child's iPad on its own Apple ID) now send their changes back: tasks and rewards added or edited there, tasks a child submits there, and stars given or taken there all go to the phone that created the family, which merges them and syncs them to everyone - The first time, do two things: on the joined device, open the Parent Zone once and start two-way sync on the screen that appears; then on the phone that created the family, tap the "wants to sync changes" notice at the top of the Overview (or go to Settings > Family Sharing > Family Members), tap Allow and enter the parent PIN - The first time a joined device starts two-way sync, it lists the changes that were only on that device and never sent. Those changes won't be sent later; they are removed from that device (a backup is saved automatically first). Everything changed after that syncs normally - Sync isn't instant: it happens when each device opens the app or comes back to it, so changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to show up - Items another parent deletes can be restored from Recently Deleted (30 days) on the phone that created the family, and a child deleted by another parent reaches the rest of the family a day later - Both devices need to be signed in to iCloud. Please update every device in your family to the latest version: devices that aren't updated can't send their changes back, and versions older than 1.16 may permanently delete a child's records, diary included, when another parent deletes that child - Privacy: family snapshots are in the app's iCloud public database and readable with the family code; pending edits also require iCloud sign-in. The snapshot includes a travel share link: anyone signed in to iCloud with it can join and read/write photos and locations. Share codes and links only with people you trust. No ads or cross-app tracking Two new looks: Candy Stickers and Storybook, and kids can pick their own Look & Feel - Doodle, the hand-drawn look you already know, stays the default, so there's nothing to set up after updating - On the "Me" page, kids can switch to Candy Stickers (bright, sticker-covered) or Storybook (soft, clean linework), or go back to Doodle anytime - Parents get the same three under Settings > Appearance, plus Classic: four in all - Everyone chooses for themselves: your style only changes your own screen, shared tasks, stars and rewards are unaffected, and you can switch anytime Also in this release: - The "Who's playing?" picker: with 3 or more kids, cards now wrap onto centered rows instead of getting squeezed or cut off - iPad gets a dedicated parent PIN layout for portrait and landscape, plus larger navigation buttons for kids and parents - Technical sync details in Settings now stay collapsed until needed; important warnings remain visible
