Amazing game, as a white woman this for some reason made me feel slightly emotional. (In a good way) I love the message behind the game and the storyline is super sweet. I also love the art style and the game controls are super easy and fun to use, only downside is that this game is pretty short. I would love another game like this or perhaps the creators could add more chapters/side stories etc to it. Either way I highly recommend this game it’s super fun! 🩶

Awesome lessons
this game is more about ethical choices than solving puzzles. It's a great opportunity to talk with young people about consequences and the ramifications of our actions. Graphics and soundtrack are great. I wish this was much much longer- would have been 5 stars.
Beautifully made for someone who has lived this life
I’m absolutely amazed with how thoughtful and sweet this was. It made me miss my grandma 🥲 it made me think of my grandparents I miss them both. I absolutely would play it again if it was longer.

Apparently, I’m dumber than the average bear, at least when it comes to games. I don't understand *how* I’m supposed to do things and it kinda’ annoys me. How hard would it be to include very precise instructions? I understand what’s supposed to happen but have no idea how. This game gives me a brief look at some of the characters, a key being pulled from a pocket, a pathway, Grandma … I click on “new game” and go nowhere. Oh well. I just won’t play games.

Cute Inspiring Game
I love the fact that our MC is a natural-hair Black woman. The story has a lot of history and shows struggles that Black and Brown people have been through and continue to go through. While the game off to a great start, the gameplay is boring. There’s no purpose of the backpack items. You aren’t able to examine the deed. The dialogue doesn’t change regardless of your choices.

Cute game with some heart wrenching choices!
The pacing is a little slow and this is definitely more of an interactive story than a choices matter video game.
But I love it!
For being a free story based game, it’s very fun! A couple story choices made me actually pause the game to think about it. It deals with the issues of housing and race in nuanced and complex ways. Absolutely worth a half hour of your time!

Needs some work
It’s definitely for kids maybe 8 years and older that can understand and read not at 4 years old. It could be better. The outcome is the same. After I played twice that was it I deleted it. It has potential. Needs work. Could discuss how they saved and bought a house. Discuss fixed vs arm mortgage. Ect.

Thought provoking and fun
Dot’s home is a fun game about renting, homeownership, and home loans. Players decisions do have an effect on the stories conclusion. My favorite parts were the art style and newspaper clips.The game is can be finished in under 3 hours or less. An area for improvement would the pamphlets section. More guidance and flexibility to approach that aspect would have helpful. Overall it’s a fun game and educational. I recommend checking out.

This is by far the most empowering game i've ever played. I love the story, and how this has multiple endings. But most importantly, this game sends a powerful message. What a great way to start off BHM!
Klan propaganda?
A rather puzzling game that seems to assume people enjoy living in squalor. The game seems to show some sort of paranoia to bettering one’s lot in life but doesn’t seem to really be able to explain where the paranoia is coming from. The implications that the grandmother would be happier as a sharecropper and was somehow tricked into buying a home and that the parents belong in rat infested projects are…. Disturbing.
