mysterycaper games are great

i’ve finished all the games from this developer and they’re all great!! i can’t wait for more to come out soon. i previously gave this game a low rating because of glitching that made playing the game impossible. after uninstalling and redownloading the game, the issue was fixed. even after reinstalling i had slight glitching and had to close/reopen the app, which is why i gave 4 stars. overall a great game and im looking forward to the newest app in the series.

Good but short.

I enjoyed this game. Glad there were hints online though.

Another great point and click adventure!

Just finished this and it was a lot of fun. Cute, winning art, ingenious puzzles, and witty dialogue. Lots of fun little details scattered throughout to reward those paying attention.

Though this looks and plays like a slick offering from a big company like LucasArts, the folks at Mystery Caper are very accessible and responsive to any questions.

What a great review! Thanks so much!

Brilliant

I am sad that this is the last game by these developers for me to play. I really hope they come out with another game in the near future. I love how they have little throw backs in each of their games referencing their other games. I really like how they have set up their online hint guides to reveal only hints if needed and not just solutions. You can tell that these developers have really put a lot of time, thought and effort in these games. I have played all their games and have not experienced one glitch. Keep up the great work and looking forward to what is next.

Thanks for leaving such a nice review! We are working on a new game. We don't have a release date as of yet, but we'll post some details on our website as we get closer. Thanks again!

Weird

The game looks ok but there are several problems:- The navigation system is bizarre and counter-intuitive, the dialogue or not funny, completed puzzle areas are still active, no hints, puzzles are sub par and I just gave up in the end as it is very frustrating.

Needs a lot of work.

Hilarious challenging and fun

Fun and hilarious just like the rest hoping there will be more games in the future. Though I think the ending could be better.

Unbelievably good!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I honestly can’t believe I missed this series of games for so long, it’s an outrage that games this clever are so hidden in the App Store, it makes me wonder what else I’m missing 🤣 a fantastic point and click adventure that actually makes you Think! Such clever puzzles, I actually feel I have found my idea of the perfect adventure puzzle game in this series, you really have to observe your surroundings, think outside the box, remember character interactions and use your imagination and inventory to progress the story. Please kind developers don’t stop making these games, I would be heartbroken 💔 many many thanks for all the fun you are giving me!

Thank you so much for your amazing review. I can't express enough what it means to us. And don't worry - we're always working on a new point and click adventure. A review like this one is what keeps us going.

Help! Stuck!

I love this game. I’ve played all but the Museum one. Although I can’t seem to find my way back into the conference room. Idk if it’s a glitch; but I’ve clicked every inch trying to get back. Help!

*UPDATE*
No longer stuck. Passed the game! 😆

I was overlooking the directional arrow and confusing it with going into the streets with the Sheriff’s office and Alley Way. If I paid more attention, I would learn that the arrow leads to the Conference Room.

Thanks for the immediate response though! 👌

Hi - Glad you're enjoying the game, sorry to hear you're having trouble with this part. We need to know a little more to help. There are several screens that lead up to the conference room. Are you not able to reach one of these? What screen are you on when you can't go any further? Are there any comments? It might help to know where you are in the game (what you did last). Later in the game you are prevented from returning to the conference room for a specific reason. Not sure if that's what's happening here, though. It might be easier if you reached out to us on our website. You can email us there or ask a question on our Updates page under our Hints post. We are able to get back to you much quicker that way. There's always a delay with review posts. Hope we can help!

No longer stuck **small spoiler**

*UPDATED REVIEW*
The developer kindly responded to my question below and I was able to resolve the problem. The solution was to drag the chat bubble to Trevor, not just click on it. Thank you for your reply!

OLD REVIEW
I really like this game but I am unable to get into the shed or talk to Trevor even after looking at the lightbulb. What am I missing? Every time I try to use the chat bubble to talk to Trevor, I only get a response from Mahrute. I followed the hint guide online.

Hi - thanks for playing! Sorry you're having trouble. Let's check a couple things. Trevor is a strange one - you can't just tap the talk bubble for a response. You have to drag the talk bubble on him to get his attention (otherwise he ignores you). Have you tried that? Next, make sure you looked at the correct lightbulb - there are a lot of them in the inn. The one you need to tell him about is the one on the fritz in the downstairs hallway where rooms 35 & 36 are. If you're still having trouble, drop us a line on the MysteryCaper website. We're always happy to help.

Love all this developer’s games!!

Super fun point-and-click game wrapped in a mystery with touches of humor along the way. I’ve loved all 3 of these games! Please make more!

Response from developer

Thanks for the great review! We're so happy you've enjoyed all our adventure games. We are, indeed, working on more.

Fun point and click mystery

We had no problems with this on either an iPad mini 2 or a iPad Air 3. Loved the touches of humor. We’ve played fleeting journey, fleeting memory, and now double cover. Love your online hint system, although most puzzles were a good medium level, and we were happy to hunt around a little to figure things out. All three games were fun, but this one was my favorite. Please make more, we’d love to buy them!

Loved it!

Mystery point and click adventure game that is clever, witty and fun! Great characters and interesting story line. Long game play. I really enjoyed this and look forward to other games by this dev.

It was fun!

Very enjoyable, yet a little tricky. Perfect combination. Characters were a great satire, without too much dialogue.

A wonderful game

I was very pleased with this game. It had a really long gameplay, was interesting enough to keep you hooked, and I really like the game style. It’s unique, and different. I really enjoyed playing this game. I hope the developers create more similar to this one :)

Not bad but could be better

Cool game, puzzles were difficult enough. Some of the drag controls were a little annoying though and unresponsive. There’s no labels for items or areas you drag the items on to use them on. There’s a lot of things close together so even on an iPad ther needs to be labels for things that you are trying to drag items on, same thing works for clicking. Show me a name of what I’m clicking on, not just a description. The dialogue is confusing too, someone just pops up a thought bubble and you’re supposed to click each item but then the dialogue box will disappear and you have to start again, you should be able to drag items to characters to see if they can use them

Needs changes

I like the art style of this game, and the story, but I found it frustrating to play. I really don’t like the way the inventory and dialogue work. I sometimes knew what had to be done, but couldn’t accomplish it because I couldn’t tap on the right spot, and I found some part of the game just very illogical and found myself just not knowing what to do.
