About

DownRange HQ is a shot timer and drill tracker for competition and practical shooters. Start a timed drill on your Apple Watch — or on your iPhone if you don't have a watch — and the microphone detects your shots so you can measure exactly how fast you are. Three drills cover the way you actually train: - One Shot: a classic reaction timer: random start delay, beep, and your time to the first shot. - Range: keep shooting after one beep; it captures every shot with the split between each and your total time. - Draw: repeated single shots with a fresh beep each time, so you can grind reps and track each one. On Apple Watch, a **steadiness (wobble) score** uses the gyroscope to measure how still your wrist is during the hold before each shot — a simple way to work on grip and trigger control. Everything you shoot is saved to a clean history on your iPhone: per-run summaries, a tap-in detail view with every shot and split, and running stats for your fastest first shot and best split. Tap a record stat to jump straight to the run that set it, or swipe any run away to delete it. Features: - Three drills: One Shot, Range (splits + total), and Draw (reps) - Mic-based shot detection on Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Watch controls with a Digital Crown mode selector - Wrist steadiness / wobble score (Apple Watch) - Full run history with a per-shot detail view (splits, totals, steadiness) - Fastest-first-shot and best-split records — tap to jump to the run; swipe to delete - Adjustable start delay, detection sensitivity, and shot spacing - Works entirely on-device — no account, no internet required Whether you're drilling your draw, building speed on the range, or just measuring your reaction time, DownRange HQ keeps score so you can see real progress. Shot detection uses the microphone and works best with a real Apple Watch or iPhone on the range. For dry-fire and practice, adjust the detection sensitivity in Settings.
