DPSI Law: Interpreter Prep is built for UK candidates studying for the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law option). Whether you are revising legal terminology, rehearsing courtroom dialogue or building exam-day stamina, this app gives you the tools to study smarter and practise out loud. WHAT YOU GET Spaced-Repetition Flashcards Build flashcard decks of legal vocabulary in any language pair. Reviews are scheduled by an SM-2 spaced-repetition algorithm so you see harder cards more often and confident cards less often. Add your own term, translation and context sentence, or generate complete decks in seconds with AI-generated practice content powered by Google Gemini. Karaoke Speaking Scenarios Forty-plus pre-loaded courtroom and police-station dialogues across Criminal Law, Family Law, Housing and Civil, Immigration and Asylum, and Police Procedure. Lines are colour-coded by speaker (magistrate, prosecutor, solicitor, defendant, interpreter) and highlighted in real time as the system voice reads them aloud. Pause, replay, slow to 0.75x, or record your own consecutive interpretation and listen back. AI-Generated Practice Out of material? Type a topic and difficulty level and the app will generate a fresh flashcard deck or a fresh practice scenario, with realistic UK legal phrasing. AI may produce inaccuracies; always verify against authoritative texts before relying on a term in a real interpreting assignment. Progress and Streaks A daily streak counter, exam-date countdown, mastery-over-time chart and accuracy chart let you see at a glance whether you are on track. Set your DPSI exam date and the app will adjust your daily card target accordingly. Universal Search A dedicated search tab finds any deck, card, scenario, category, speaker or line of script in milliseconds. Twelve Languages Supported English, Farsi, Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean. Offline-First All decks, cards, scenarios and progress are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. The only network request is to Google Gemini, and only when you tap Generate. There are no ads, no accounts and no third-party analytics.
