Dragon Bulbik

High on a mountain resembling a dormant volcano, a small dragon lives in a cave above a strange stone floor. The ground beneath the cave is not solid rock, but a field of square tiles that shift and crack over time. Each time the dragon emerges, it must cross this field in search of crystals and hearts. The world around it is motionless, and the tiles and the dragon are the only things that matter, so the entire story unfolds on this moving board. The board is visible from above, so you can always see where traps, rewards, and empty spaces are. When the dragon encounters danger, it loses hearts. When the last heart disappears, the game ends, and the mountain becomes silent again. Wooden tiles serve as a safe platform. Stone tiles slow progress because they must be broken before the dragon can move away from them again, and cracked tiles indicate that they only require a little more pressure to destroy. Sharp-edged red tiles act as traps, and some tiles feature hearts that restore a portion of your life. Others glow with crystals of three colors, each with a unique purpose after completing a run. After a level, the cave transforms into a workshop, where all your collected crystals are tallied. Here, you can increase block damage to break stones faster, increase the maximum number of hearts, or improve healing effects to restore more life using special tiles. In this same room, you can also exchange groups of common crystals for rarer ones. As the game progresses, the playing field expands, revealing new levels filled with new traps, rewards, and tighter passages. Some routes seem safe but yield only a few crystals, while others offer a wealth of resources but leave virtually no room for error. You decide when to head for the exit and when to risk taking additional steps in search of better upgrades. The goal is to keep the dragon alive for as long as possible on each descent down the mountain while you learn how the tiles behave and how far you can venture.
