Great game but technical problems
Game is great fun. Artwork and animations are top notch. Game crashes a lot though. Especially when doing things like receiving an online turn notification when playing in an offline game. I can tolerate some glitches (nothing’s perfect) but these crashes aren’t getting any less frequent and are pretty disruptive.

No entry to leaderboard possible
It‘s a great boardgame and the app is fun to play.
But It‘s so dissapointing, I‘ve played so many online ranked games (much more than the needed 10 ones and have won most of the time) and still I havn‘t got an entry to the leaderboard…
No reason for me to play this game anymore…

Hi and sorry for the late reply! The new online infrastructure for our apps is almost ready: after the old online provider ceased operations in late September 2022, we had to rebuild the multiplayer side basically from scratch, a very big task for our very small dev team. A new update, scheduled for release in the next few days, will address the remaining issues. Many thanks for your patience and understanding!
Awesome game with lots of options
So glad I found this game! I like the solo play. Everything is smooth and gorgeous. I like that there are so many play options. It can be more simple or complex, depending on how you choose to play.
I appreciate the fair premium price with no ads or IAP. We need more developers like this.
It could use a little battery optimization (like a low battery usage mode), but it’s not bad as is considering the graphics. It could be a bit better though.
Very good game, a match only takes 10 minutes, that’s the perfect amount of time.
This is the only mahjong game I’ve ever really liked. It’s a very clever competitive concept. I love it!

Schöne Umsetzung
Mir gefällt das Spiel zum Zeitvertreib sehr gut. Leider stürzt die App immer wieder mittendrin ab. Hoffentlich kann das behoben werden.
Love the game but the app has a big issue
I am a fan of the game and overall I love the interface design. BUT, I’ve found that the clock recording the time set for a game is totally useless.
If I create a game for 30 min. and someone joins, you would think that the app would give each player 30 minutes of time to play. This helps avoid a player getting stuck in a game with someone who never finishes their turn. Ultimately if they don’t play, their time runs out and they lose.
BUT that isn’t what happens. The clock for the other player only runs as long as I am still in the game. If I leave to play a game with someone else the in game timer stops. Completely defeats the value of it.
So I have 4 inactive games open right now and even though I’ve taken my turns, my opponents have zero reason to worry about coming back to play because they will never run out of time. This is very discouraging.
Games like this need to be able discourage game abandonment. Please fix this

Fun new twist on an old boring game
Truthfully I’ve never been a fan of Mahjong but these developers have found a way to make it feel new and competitive beyond collecting tiles. I have only 1 complaint about the game. There is no way to randomize the Dragon or Spirit you have during a game. If there was I would definitely give this 5 stars. I feel it’s an easy yet simple game mechanic that should be on every kind of game that allows for selection.

Beautiful but bad bug
It’s a lovely game and I enjoy it but after a match ends it just disappears with no indication of final scores! I get a match end notification and that is it. If this were fixed this would be a great game.
Zoom
Thanks for making a zoom tool. Now it’s much easier to select tiles.

Another poorly conceived & unfriendly design
The tiles need more contrast for depth and the play area is ridiculously small even on iPad. There is no reason whatsoever for 3/4ths of the screen to be sitting empty in solo play and half of it in 2-player. Insipid design.
Why do I have to hit a button to end my turn when I have zero additional actions I can take and there is no undo button? What possible sense is there to this? Insipidly unnecessary.
And why is there no undo button for tiles you’ve placed?!
This is truly unforgivable in a game like this.

Hello, thank you for your review. The reason why we do not have an undo button is because by picking a tile you reveal the tile underneath, so one could cheat by exploiting the undo :( We added the "end of turn" button because in our test players wanted a clear way to signal it was the next player's turn in online games. While we can't actually change the screen setup for 2 players, we did add a zoom option based on your feedback in the latest update, hope that helps! Thank you for your patience.

Interesting Game ..... but solo play need improving
The game is an interesting tactical game extending Shanghai to a competitive multi player game. The computer bots for solo play do not however play very intelligently and are too easy to beat. Needs to be upgraded to make solo play worth while.

I may be being stupid but I cannot get this game going as a solo player. It does say you can play solo but how do you do it? I would be grateful for any assistance you can give me. The game was only 2.99 but I feel I’ve wasted my money

Ein wirklich schönes Spiel. Grafisch wirklich hübsch gemacht und es funktioniert alles. Es gibt zwar Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten, z.B. Zoom der Drachenburg oder einen Zug rückgängig machen können, aber die kommen vielleicht noch. Ich kannte das Brettspiel vorher gar nicht, deshalb fand ich das Tutorial ein bisschen dürftig. Aber es gibt ja die Spielanleitung. Und so ist zumindest der leichte Computergegner noch schwierig genug und ich habe noch viel zu entdecken. Echt eine spannende und interessante Mah-Jongg-Variante. Empfehlenswert.

Too buggy to even clear the tutorial
Devs clearly didn’t spend enough time testing. Multiple screens have critical bugs where the user can creat a situation where it is impossible to proceed. I’d give this app zero stars if I could.
The quality control is just that bad. I’ll be requesting a refund from Apple.
Please more fully test your app before shoveling trash into the App Store. We have enough shovel-ware level quality apps already.

Mahjong Solitaire gibt es ja hunderte.
Dieses Dragon Castle basiert darauf, fügt aber eine ganz neue Dimension hinzu. Das ist frisch, macht Spaß und lässt die Zeot angenehm vergehen.
Sehr empfehlenswert.
Leider: Computergegner alle zu einfach und wenig menschliche Spieler Online.

Gute Brettspielumsetzung
Das große Problem beim Original-Brettspiel Dragon Castle ist die lange Aufbauzeit. Auch wenn es haptisch mehr Spaß macht, ist diese App eine gute Alternative für mal zwischendurch.
