High herostone requirements for legendaries held this game back.
This game’s team design is good. Each species has a unique identity and style with personalities that play into abilities.
However, every team is missing its essential core mechanic because the “legendary hero” is impossible to obtain for most of the game.
The “legendary hero” takes 200 to 350 herostones to summon as opposed to 25 for many others. So he does not grow with rest of the team. This makes the default gameplay for each species dull compared to how it was designed.
Worse, you cant farm that hero by leveling up others of HIS species, you have to level up heroes of a DIFFERENT species. For example, you need full army of 5 star ORCs to farm the legendary HUMAN. You need goblins to farm the legendary Elf. How stupid! 😡
Worse x2, the legendary hero events are season gated and often unavailable for weeks!
These irritating limitations prevent you from getting essential team synergy pieces for most of the game and you cant enjoy complex mechanics that ARE DESIGNED!
There are plenty of other limitations like ability scrolls and level up materials and money, to create a sense of progression.

The forced hour long tutorial to level 5 makes this frustratingly unplayable. Stop doing this to people, it’s awful!!

This game pushes horrible ads at you with no way to exit the screen and get back to the game.

Older game but still fun. If you like Character Collectors, this one is reasonable to grind

Devs gave up years ago
This was a decent game 5 years ago. Nothing has changed in 2-3 years. Everyone quit. Don’t spend a penny or waste time playing.

Если раньше можно было зайти хотя бы на стопицотый раз, то сейчас уже неделю не грузится игра. Доходит до 9% и все. Не помогает ни впн, ни вай-фай, ни мобильный интернет. Задонатила и сижу смотрю на иконку.

Was a great game but has been abandoned by developers.
Game won’t launch
This game used to be pretty good. The characters were obtainable and there were certain challenges that players in a guild would lament and overcome.
That was about 7 years ago.
The game grew and more “heroes” were added, I suppose to give more challenges since many of us were leveling off the characters.
Then the developers decided to add more gear and such that aren’t easily obtainable without purchasing help.
At this point, many of the players, myself included, are frustrated weekly because the game keeps failing to launch. There’s a biweekly “event” and oddly enough, the crashes increase often during these events so we can’t compete and can’t get rewards. We contact the developers and there is only the canned reply “we’re aware of the issue” or lately there is not even that.
The game changed hands at some point and it seems that the purchaser just wants to sell in app “coins” for profit. There is no apparent updates and I’m sure this review will get some developer reply saying “things take time”.
Well that’s all fine and good, however I know many die hard players that have given up and found other faves because this one has turned sour.

Fun game but horrendous loading
Fun game ,however many on it say they have stopped really working on it .you get four areas and about twelve plays to each area and they have not increased this and don’t really add extra challenges .also the bad thing is it runs ok for a couple days then hits relaunch screen over and over again,freezes and says contact them and u do and it still is an issue .so makes it unplayable t a degree daily of can’t launch it .shame they gave up ,had potential but its relaunch screen error and lack of updates means it’s better to invest else where

I’ve been playing this game for about 6-7 years. It was once pretty good, however in the past week, the game won’t even launch. I am aware the developer changed and now there’s no funding. There’s no development. And as some have worn, there’s no advancement- I had many characters maxed out, so the developers added levels to hinder my progress. Yes, this game “ain’t what it once was” and it’s just sad now. And I’m told development takes time… The only updates I’ve seen in the past three years was one of our guild giving suggested “fixes” for character issues. Where’s the “battleground” that have been in development for 6 years? Yep, what was great fun and challenging 6 years ago is lacking in the game. I’m sorry it’s barely being held together these days. To quote an old song “Someday never comes” CCR
Patience is one thing, most of the players a began with quit 2 years ago because the game got old and stale. If as much work went into development as does “developer replies” we might see some progress.
