What's New in Draw Storyboard

1.3

October 20, 2026

Built for how storyboard artists actually work. • Undo that never undoes your undo. Adding, deleting, moving and pasting panels can be undone too, and layer changes, timing and notes are part of the history. • Play your board as an animatic right in the app: timing, camera moves and dialogue, with scrubbing. Press Space on a keyboard. • Drag panels in the rail to reorder them, or Select several to duplicate, retime or delete at once. • Scenes: start a scene on any panel with its heading. The rail, the Board and the PDF break at each scene, and script import sets them for you. • Set camera moves by hand: drag the START and END frames on the panel and resize them from the corner. • Versions: save the board under a name before a big change and restore it any time. The board you had is kept too. • Lock panel numbers before you share: inserts become 12A, 12B, and changed panels are marked REV on the PDF. • Dialogue and action sit right under the panel, editable in place. Shot, lens and camera move have one-tap presets. • Import photos straight from your Photos library. • Onion skin shows the previous panel in red and the next in green. • Animatic export at 24, 25 or 30 fps in 720p, 1080p or 4K, with panel numbers and timecode burned in. • Export every panel as a numbered PNG. • Magic Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘Z, ←/→ for panels, [ and ] for brush size, E for eraser. • "Draw with Apple Pencil only" setting, and a Button Guide (the ? in the toolbar) that explains every control. • A new look: a new app icon, with dark and tinted versions for your Home Screen. • Many fixes: long dialogue no longer cut off in the PDF, background photos no longer stretched in exports, clipping masks now export, and your work is saved before you leave a board.

Buggy

I feel like it could be great if it was fixed.
1. The undo button does the job but when you draw again it undoes the undo -_-
2. There’s no clear instructions on how certain buttons work
3. I can’t upload drawings from galleries.

Response from developer

Hi Buggy, thank you for taking the time to write this. Clear feedback like yours is exactly what helps us improve Draw Storyboard. You're right on all three points, and we're already working on them: 1. Undo: we've reproduced the problem where drawing after an undo can bring the undone strokes back. A fix is in progress. 2. Instructions: we're adding clearer in-app guidance, so it's obvious what each button does. Until then, the Help section in the editor sidebar explains the main tools. 3. Importing from your photo library: right now, images can only be picked through the Files app. We're adding direct access to your Photos library. All three fixes will be in an update coming soon. If anything else gets in your way, please email us at info@egetechnology.net. We read every message. Thanks again for giving the app a chance. — The Draw Storyboard team
