Thanks for the honest feedback, and we're sorry it felt like a waste of your time. We get wanting to try an app for free first — we did offer a free trial in the past, but had to pull it after repeated abuse pushed our AI generation costs too high, and we're looking for a sustainable way to bring it back. As for ChatGPT, general-purpose AI tools are great for lots of things, but Driftshot is built specifically for car photography: curated templates, car-optimised prompts and custom training adapted to your own car. That focus is what makes the difference in quality and consistency. If you'd like to give it a proper go, message us via the in-app chat or at support@idecapps.com and we'll find a way to let you try it!

On the cost side: every AI image and video has a real infrastructure cost behind it, and that's what the subscription covers — the models don't run for free on our end. We do hear you on wanting to try things before paying, though. To clarify how it works: a PRO subscription unlocks all premium features, and generation uses credits because each AI image and video carries a real infrastructure cost. Those credits renew with your billing cycle, and we always work to keep that allowance as generous as possible — there's no intent to hide anything. We're also sorry the chat felt dismissive; we're a team of two who personally handle every conversation, and leaving you feeling that way is not who we are. Merci pour votre retour, et désolés que le système de crédits n'ait pas été clair de votre côté. L'abonnement débloque toutes les fonctionnalités premium, et la génération utilise des crédits car chaque image ou vidéo IA a un coût d'infrastructure réel — c'est le modèle standard des apps d'IA générative, et nous travaillons à garder une allocation aussi généreuse que possible. Concernant les ratés, l'IA peut encore produire des résultats irréguliers, mais cela s'améliore en continu à chaque mise à jour.
