I really want to like it

I really wanna like this thing. The problem is it is full of bugs that don’t get fixed. You can delete a whole bunch of drills and next time you start up they’re back. If you’re synced to the iPhone and control it with the sg2 you have wonderful things like it duplicate your drill in the iPhone, but the title will be slightly different. Do you think this wouldn’t be a problem except it keeps doing it. Next would be when it doesn’t start properly doesn’t give you a ready Signal it just starts rolling. It will also switch from whatever drill you’re in to free running when you start it sometimes from the SG2. When you report bugs, they’ll tell you to make a video and that they can’t duplicate any of the errors. Like I’m gonna be making a video of something with a second iPhone to video. What’s going on in my one iPhone while I’m shooting. Get real. So yeah, don’t buy this thing.

Can’t login

Unfortunately, I bought this allegedly awesome timer that sinks to the Drills app, but it won’t even let me login. It repeatedly comes up in air as URL session failed: network connection was lost. Even though I am connected to Wi-Fi and have full strength in signal.

List of guns wiped out

Went to the range today and intended to use my timer. First, had to upgrade the firmware. That’s ok. I had enough signal that it was a non issue but:
1 - told me I had to update the firmware but then drove me to updating the app when the app was already up to date.
2 - to my surprise, all my guns have been wiped out of the app. I know I’m on a developer version of iOS but wiping out customer data is always a no go!

Bottom line, had to do my session without timer. Frustrating!

Not connecting to the App.

Switch out to a different rifle and trying to connect to the app to calibrate , but won’t connect, deleted the app and trying to download but it won’t download the app. Followed the instructions but still not working. Lastly I wish they can make the attachment that comes with is 1913 picatini ready, I have to carnal the thumb screw really hard in order to not move under recoil
On plus side pretty bright and accurate, but only when it works

Response from developer

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues. Please contact us at support@shooters.global so we can investigate why the app won't download and why you're unable to connect your device. We'll do our best to help you resolve the problem. Also, please note that calibration can be performed directly on the SG Pulse, so you don't need the app to calibrate it. We're glad to hear you're happy with the brightness and accuracy when using the device.

Good app, adding features to your devices

Good to see meaningful firmware updates that actually add features to something you already own. Connection is seamless and quick and the app is really easy to use.

They fixed the “firmware update” issue. Of course you still can’t connect to the device but it saves your session and transfers it back to the app after you update the firmware. Only annoying bug is when your firmware is out of date you get about 5 popups telling you it needs an update in a row.

Link loop

Open the app to a pop up to update the app. Click the pop up to the store to find I’ve got the latest version. Click open in the App Store to open the latest version to the popup to update the app.

Fix please

No longer supported

I can no longer connect my SG timer to the app because it says the timer’s software is out of date. I can’t update the timer because it says I have to confirm the update on the timer. When I open the app it locks the timer in RO mode and I can’t confirm the update. All this before a class tomorrow.

Great Timer App

Timer and App are really useful tools. Please add the ability to “clear all shots and markers” from the shotisize editor. The AI function marks so many false shots and doesn’t accurately capture my double taps. It would be less hassle to clear everything at once and just manually drop them in. Sensitivity setting hasn’t really improved the process at all. Would be 5 stars from me if that’s implemented.

App crashes - won't start - among others

Wish this worked better - app is always crashing - half the time when you record video it only records the first round in a set - now the app won't even open and just crashes

The ultimate partner for practical shooting

The SG timer and the Drills app are the best tools for tracking your progress in practical shooting. It would be even better if you could import match information from the PractiScore website; combined with the SHOTIZE feature, this will be a real game changer.

This new feature doesn't look very user-friendly.Identification is not very accurate either.

Spend another $4.99/month to buy an inaccurate SG timer?

Great App

I use this app every time I go to the range. I put my phone on a tripod with a gimble on top that has an AI camera tracker. Seeing yourself shoot with shot time has been one of the biggest factors to my improvement at a shooter. Can’t believe the current rating. Has to be user error.

Moving backwards

I am an original purchaser form when the Ukraine war started and delayed shipping
It seems with a lot of “ upgrades” the freestanding. Use of the shot timer gets worse. It is teathered to the phone. And has less use. Drills will not show up on the timer without the phone and they want too much personal information. KISS keep it simple stupid needs to happen with this timer.
I am going to have to replace it

Issues

Adding or editing in the “My Guns” section triggers a non-responsive loop. iOS 26.3 iPhone 16Pro with the latest version of the Drills app.

This requires an account to use :(

I hope whomever developed this app and required me to share data with them falls down an elevator shaft like Daffy Duck.

awful

almost every time i launch this app it updates. it’s so common and so annoying. easily one of worst apps ive ever experienced

Buggy

I don’t have the shot timer yet, but I’ve been unable to set up my firearms in my profile in the app. When I try to select a field, nothing happens. If I try to flip the app closed to reset it, it’ll suddenly select the field. Even then, however, it saves only some selections. Trying to swipe back to higher levels ends up in a continuous loop that just keeps showing the same empty gun descriptions. I don’t have high hopes that it’ll work well with the shot timer. I hope the shot timer works well enough by itself, though I had hopes that the app would make setting it up easier.

Spyware without option

The concept is cool, but it is ruined by the app constantly requiring log in without option and constantly asking to send notifications. Videos are automatically stored to the cloud and the user is left with little choice in any of these matters. This would’ve 5 stars if you could use it without a log in and without notifications… unfortunately they want to track you and sell your data, so 2 stars it is 🤷‍♂️

Response from developer

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Logging in is necessary so you can save your drills in your profile, track your statistics, and use the stage builder. We don’t send excessive notifications—these are only recommended so you can be informed about available updates, for example. As for video uploads, you can manage this in the app settings. Please be assured that we do not sell any data—these features exist solely for your convenience and to provide a wide range of functionality for you in the app.

Meh

Added pairing to eliminate interoperability. The app that dos everything equally bad, like a Swiss Army knife. Would not hit again.

Persistent Notifications

Love where the app is heading. Big fun. The issue I am having is every time I open the app it wants me to enable notifications. I don’t want to enable notifications. It asks like 4-5 times then I can click into another page. Then it will ask again.

If we could get that fixed that would be AMAZING!
