Doesn’t work well at all, sends you in endless loop trying to download then login when I’ve *already* downloaded and logged in. Our State Farm agent agreed it doesn’t work well and said “just call me”. What’s the point of having an app then??

Cornering
This app keeps penalizing me for cornering. It says slower cornering is less likely to cause my vehicle to flip. I drive a Civic, not a truck or SUV that has to slow down due to their tendency to tip over. I drive responsibly, but I’m being penalized by the way this app categorizes my vehicle.

06/16/25: I cannot update App unless I get a new phone. My iPhone is paid off. SF office told me to get a new phone. Poor...
Drive Safe and Save APP
This has to be one of the most difficult APPS to use. It’s frustrating when you try to do the right thing and still cannot get it to work. For what I pay State Farm monthly, it has thinking.

My phone won’t let me update to 16.0 or higher to use the app and I’m getting no help here or on the website!
Drains battery
Too much of a battery killer. If I don’t turn Bluetooth off this a drainer. I use AirPods often due to work so I have my Bluetooth on often, but with this thing constantly looking for a new connection starts to drain thatbattery faster
Totally hate this app
Why does it require to know where I am all the time? The app requires to be active all the time which really burns the battery on your cell phone. Even the employees at State Farm insurance refuse to use this application.
Could be better
The location always on requirement is a drain on device battery. This app and location should only be required when it is connected to sensor.

I can’t update my phone beyond 15.8. Therefore I can’t view my driving habits.

More like get spied on and used for data and not have us give you an extra fee. Are there any insurance companies that don’t do this nonsense I can switch to?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!This App has been CLOSED but they are Vague and don’t tell anyone you should Delete it and Usr the actual State Farm App. Everything has been transferred to that one App now!!!!!!!!
Very helpful, but too sensitive
This has been a very good app to help me drive safer, but the app is too sensitive. When I am at a full stop or parked in a parking lot and I use my phone, it registers me as using it while driving. How am I to use my gps when I am at a full stop or parked? Braking and cornering are also too sensitive.

State Farm and Apple force people to buy and use the newest phones because they are too lazy to write software for the older phones and then say they are cutting your discount!

I have an Apple iPhone 7 Plus that has been updated to a 15.8, but I cannot use my Drive Safe & Save app because it says I need an upgrade to iOS 16 or higher. Not happy and thinking about switching insurance. MC
Eats data and weirdly sensitive on cornering
I had a 1GB data plan and found out that this app was eating up a huge portion of my cellular data in the background. I learned to just disable its usage of cellular, it seems to work fine when it connects to WiFi.
Also the cornering is way too sensitive. I get constant violations in every trip I take for rolling around a corner at 5 mph. I’m not an aggressive driver at all, I just have a small car with a small turning radius? How is it calibrated, because I genuinely think it needs to be based on your car losing traction and not based on how comparatively sharp my turn of my small car is compared to a world of large SUVs and trucks.
