About
DriveClear helps teens and families keep supervised driving hours organized on one device—without creating an account.
TRACK EVERY DRIVE
• Start a live timer and pause when needed
• Add past drives manually or correct an entry
• Record the supervising adult, road type, weather, and notes
• See total, day, and night progress at a glance
DAY AND NIGHT, CALCULATED AT THE DRIVE
DriveClear uses one coarse location reading when a drive starts to calculate local sunrise and sunset. It does not track your route. If location is unavailable, the app uses an available stored location or the center of the selected state. You can review or override the day and night split when needed.
STATE-SPECIFIC PROGRESS
Built-in requirement profiles cover North Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota, California, Texas, Florida, and Wisconsin. Choose Other / not listed for a general tracker, and confirm current requirements with your licensing agency before the road test.
REVIEW, SIGN, AND EXPORT
Review the full log, capture a typed or drawn supervisor signature, preview the PDF, and share it through the system share sheet. Minnesota exports use the DVS supervised driving log template. Exports for other states are supporting records and may not replace required official forms, certificates, notarization, or signatures. You can also export a CSV or save and restore a DriveClear JSON backup.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your driving log is stored locally on your device. Automatic weather is optional. When available, the app rounds the drive’s start location to two decimal places and sends that coarse coordinate through DriveClear’s weather service to Apple Weather only to request the current condition. It does not send your route or driving log. You choose where exported files and backups go.
