Inaccurate Directions Could Put Learners at Risk

I downloaded this app hoping it would help my learner drivers prepare for their driving tests, but my experience was extremely disappointing. During a practice session, the app directed us towards a manoeuvre that was not permitted by the road layout and signage. A learner driver may not have the experience or confidence to question incorrect instructions, which makes mistakes like this particularly concerning.

Driving apps should provide accurate, up-to-date guidance, especially when they are marketed as tools for test preparation. Incorrect directions can create confusion, encourage unsafe decisions, and undermine a learner’s confidence behind the wheel. Until the accuracy of the route information is improved and properly verified, I would not recommend relying on this app for driving test preparation. Safety and accuracy must come first.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We take safety and accuracy very seriously and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. The app relies on road and navigation data provided by Mapbox, which is widely used across many navigation applications. While we strive to provide the best possible experience, road layouts, restrictions, and traffic regulations can occasionally change or may not always be reflected immediately within the underlying map data. If you could provide the specific location where this occurred, we would be happy to investigate further and report any mapping inaccuracies to the relevant provider. We also regularly review user feedback to help identify and correct issues wherever possible. Our aim is to help learners gain confidence and familiarity with local roads, and we are continuously working to improve the app experience. Thank you again for taking the time to share your concerns.

Not Real Routes

Support confirmed that the test routes they provide are not real exam routes.

Response from developer

Hello, The purpose of this app is to help you become familiar with the roads and driving conditions around your chosen test centre, allowing you to build confidence before your practical driving test. The routes provided within the app are not official DVSA test routes. Official driving test routes are not publicly available, and no app has access to the exact routes used during examinations. Instead, our team has carefully designed and selected practice routes based on local road networks, common test areas, and driving scenarios that learners are likely to encounter during their test. By practising these routes, you can gain valuable experience, improve your road awareness, and increase your confidence behind the wheel. While no route can guarantee the exact path taken during your test, many learners find that practising in the local area significantly improves their chances of success and helps them feel more prepared on the day of their exam.

Dangerous and Misleading Driving App

As a driving instructor, I cannot recommend this app to learner drivers. On my very first test, it provided incorrect directions outside my local test centre, instructing a learner to turn right when the road was clearly marked as left-turn only. Errors like this are not just inconvenient—they are potentially dangerous and could lead to serious driving mistakes, failed tests, or even accidents.

Learner drivers rely on accurate guidance to build safe driving habits and confidence on the road. If the app cannot provide correct instructions in such a basic situation, it raises serious concerns about the reliability of the rest of its content. I would strongly advise learners and instructors to use caution and verify any information independently before trusting this app. Road safety should never be compromised by inaccurate guidance.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're really sorry to hear about your experience. Incorrect turn instructions or routing onto a motorway when it shouldn’t happen is not the experience we want our users to have. Our navigation relies on map data that is constantly improving, but occasionally road markings, lane restrictions, or recent changes may not yet be reflected correctly. If you’re able to share the location or route where this happened, we would really appreciate it. It would help us investigate the issue and improve the navigation for everyone. As a small and growing app, reviews have a very big impact on us. If the issue was a one-off or if we’re able to resolve it, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider updating or removing the 1-star rating. Your support truly helps us continue improving the app. Thank you again for your feedback and for helping us make the app better.

Helped me prepare for my test, i wasnt so familiar with the area surrounding my test centre so this helped me build my confidence massively on all the rounds around it, also rerouted nicely when i took a wrong turn.
