Great app

Today i downloaded it and my landscape drawings are so much better.😁

Deceptively evil

This app asks money first and gives half hearted AI critique and advice last. All prompts and advice is nothing but shallow AI grading and responses that do little help for any beginner artists. Also I suspect that all images scanned feed into AI image training, since the company associated with the app is heavily influenced by AI technology. If you wish to improve, please seek human criticism and training, it will bring much more life to your artwork than feeding it to a machine.

Sucks!!

It’s boring and unhelpful, you can just mindlessly upload photos of your art without doing a single thing. Not to mention that they use AI which completely turned me off. It’s nothing but a reminder app truly. 😓

they refused to refund me, no humans teach you anything. christmas money is just gone.

I didn’t like that they use a form of ai called machine learning for their “lessons.” tried getting a refund because I thought they’d have different features in this app.
but I can’t get my 25$ back because they won’t give you your money back for not liking a heartless computer giving you pointers.
I’ve been drawing seriously sense 2007. if you need to teach yourself how to draw, please just practice and ask real people for advice and criticism.
this app also has annoying shaking icons after the ai scanned your work. it literally looks like it could give someone a seizure.
Duolingo went downhill because they started using ai and an app that says it’s the Duolingo of art isn’t any better.
Real people don’t tell you anything it’s literally just a computer looking at your work and arbitrarily telling you what to do.
where does the computing power for the machine learning come from? the data centers??
Dro make a lot of stink on their website about the difference between generative AI machine learning. it’s all coming from the same data centers. and that’s why I wanted a refund for my subscription.
I don’t think art being fostered by a computer will make you any better then practicing on your own.
I’m really disappointed that I waited my christmas money on this. I don’t have a lot of it because i’m an artist

Have your camera ready

I wish I could draw in the app. While I appreciate trying to use the traditional approach with pencil and paper it’s just tedious and inconvenient to have to take a picture all the time. What if I want to practice while on the train or bus? I’m not whipping out the pencils and sketchbook. Give us an option to do it on our phone.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We understand that having to draw on paper and then take a photo can feel inconvenient, especially when you want to practice on the go, like on a train or bus. At the moment, DRO is focused on traditional pencil-and-paper practice, but we absolutely see the value of an in-app drawing option on the phone or tablet. Your suggestion aligns with ideas we’ve been exploring, and we’ve passed your comments to our product team so they can factor this into future updates and prioritisation. If you’re open to it, feel free to share any additional thoughts (e.g. tools you’d want in a mobile drawing mode) so we can better shape this kind of feature around real use cases like yours.

Pretty good

I love this app and it’s concept but I hate that you have to pay for it

Dont download, just use yt

an immediate paywall, only a weekly and ANNUAL sub option despite a “promise” of mastery by day 30, and only a 2 day trial..? yeah no.. youtube got it

Response from developer

Hi Lazisslow, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback and for giving DRO a try. DRO is not fully locked behind a paywall – there is a free tier with access to core lessons and exercises, and the subscription is only required for advanced features and extended content. We also offer more than one subscription option and a trial period that may vary slightly by region or promotion, but it is designed to give you time to explore the premium features before deciding. We understand that YouTube has a lot of free material, and it can be a good resource. DRO focuses on a structured, step‑by‑step path with curated content, progress tracking, and guided practice to help you reach that “mastery by 30 days” goal more reliably. If you’re open to it, please try the free content again and let us know what specifically felt paywalled – we’d love to improve that experience.

Help

To maybe help a little more for beginners like myself could you guys add pictures or something to guide me on what I’m supposed to do cause I am sort of lost by just reading

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, MuteGAMR! We agree — visual guides help a lot. We will introduce this in future versions.

Dro passport

Help! I AM STUCK ON THE PASSPORT! IS THERE A WAY TO GET OUT OF IT!?!

Response from developer

Hey! We're sorry for this experience. We have fixed the issue in the latest version, so please check the app for updates. We would really appreciate if you check the issue and update your review 🙏

Paywalled to start

I can’t even get the two days of a trial others mentioned before the paywall. If it’s going to be a free app, at least let me try it before MAKING me pay for it. It was a waste of time to download and go through the setup questions.

Response from developer

Hi fadingrobot, We apologize for any confusion during your setup experience. Our app does offer a 7-day free trial (not 2 days as mentioned by another reviewer), which should allow you to fully explore all features before any payment is required. It sounds like there may have been a technical issue during your onboarding process. Please reach out to our support team directly, and we'll be happy to help ensure you can access your free trial properly. We want to make sure you have a smooth experience from the start! Best regards, DRO Team
