I would love for this to work consistently
Like other reviewers have said, when it works it’s perfect, but it very inconsistent. That’s a no-go when you have a classroom of students. The fact that you have to keep reconnecting to the internet and the drone to launch missions is the worst. So close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So much potential but so frustrating to use
This is such a cool idea but it’s so finicky. I have used it to program my Tello and is so cool when it works. When it doesn’t it’s so frustrating. For example if the drone crashes the when you try to launch the mission again(after aborting) it doesn’t do anything some of the times. You can’t save your missions unless you are logged in and connected to the internet! You also can’t change missions without first disconnecting the drone, getting back on WiFi with internet logging in then change your mission, then connect to Tello WiFi again to run that mission. If missions are saved locally we should be able to save and change missions without disconnecting from the drone. I would pay for this upgrade!

Don’t buy this drone
I have bought multiple drone yet none of them connect. I have asked multiple people and asked a bunch of teacher and no one knows the problem.

The app keeps crashing and when I tried to do a flip the app also broke

Great app, watch your battery level
Had a frustrating time the first go, the Tello EDU drone wasn’t running all of the code (parts of it though, kinda weird). I switched batteries and the app worked great.
Best App for Educators
Paired with the DroneBlocks curriculum this is absolutely the best app for teachers working with Tello drones in the classroom.

Works spasmodically if at all
If it works it connects then launches but doesnt execute program. Tried everything, firmware ok, connects to Tello but there is no online solution to problem. Have tried everything to get the code to execute but no luck. Poor support unless you subscribe and pay , very disappointed .Wouldnt waste my time with it.

Disappointment is an Understatement!
I was super pumped buying a drone to trial got our school‘s STEM program when I bought the TELLO!
And then encountered that our iPads iOS is NOT compatible with the drone!

Can’t really use it.
I don’t have much to say other than it doesn’t work with small phones like the iPhone SE not 2020 edition. The Ui on the top just mushes up together and won’t let me do anything. I hope they make the Ui for smaller phones easier so we small phone users can also experience coding on our Tellos.
Tello Camera Control!!!
I’m so happy DroneBlocks now has camera support for the Tellos. This is going to add a whole new level of adventure for my students. Thanks you so much. I LOVE DroneBlocks!

Connects but No Blocks
App connects to TELLO (can see battery life and other stats) but screen remains completely blank. We’ve been unable to use this app.

Droneblocks was a huge win for our school. Our kids have never been more engaged in coding. The look on their faces says it all.
