Bought AirMap and now closing it
Yeah, good luck on your obvious money grab after buying the best drone app and now shutting it down for “exciting future stuff,” i.e. we’re gonna make it some paywalled nonsense.
What is this supposed to be?
Nothing seems to work. The weather is completely broke, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to request a laanc authorization with this app.
Useless app
Has anyone had any good experience with this app? Trying to figure out how to get LAANC on this and still having issues. Don’t see any tutorials online or steps to getting anything done. This app apparently been around for 5 years
No support!
They rejected my part 107 temp status. With no way to comunícate with them. Since the FAA has been backed up. I had to wait months to get my physical card. Since reviving my physical card and uploading it to the app. I’m in my 3rd week, and still no approval of my Part 107, to fly with this app. There are better apps out there. I gave it a 2 because it has potential.

Can no longer get airspace authorization
Switched to this app from AirMap and wasn’t pleased with the change. UI and UX isn’t the best. Searching an address for a plan doesn’t drop a pin. Too many steps to file a plan. As of late last week, saving a plan for authorization no longer works because of “Airspace conditions”. After this happened a second time near a different airport, I switched to another, more reputable app, and everything went through ok. The first time it didn’t work, I thought something really was going on with airspace conditions and I didn’t have enough time to get authorization manually as the client booked me at the last minute. Client wasn’t happy but thanks Droneup for wasting my time and having me possibly lose a client!

AirMap was better.
This app is missing a a lot. No more map options like satellite. When searching an address, it doesn’t drop a marker on that address and without being able to go to satellite view it’s difficult to lock in a property. I don’t get why we went from an easy to use, user friendly app to this. I get it has different feature like airspace info but the limitations of the other important features makes it almost worthless when you compare to other options.

Slow
I was using AirMap but it’s having issues and they recommend this app. I plugged in all my information and uploaded my credentials over a week ago and it still shows pending. Go through FAA drone zone sad fully their faster.
It’s ok once figured out
Not a novice to tech or drone stuff, I could not figure out how to request LAANC authorizations. This app nor their website has an FAQ that describes how do this. I had to call them for that info. In comparison, AirMap makes this a lot easier but that service is down indefinitely and they said to use DroneUp.

Deserved ZERO stars
Missing AirMap - this is a downgrade to hobbyist like myself. There is no explanation on this app on how to use it. Is it intend only to those with Part 107 and use their fine to make $$&?
Mediocre interface / unresponsive support
Ugh. Will stick with other drone apps. Emailed support on two occasions, no reply. Not sure anyone is home.

App Useless
I’ve got almost every badge, entire state of Virginia nearly covered for my job notifications, and I’ve seen two jobs in the last 4 months or more. Furthermore, this app takes forever to load the blank job list… probably 30 seconds or more. The map is great on here, but the layout is poorly designed. It doesn’t appear as if having a functional, easy to use and understand app is a high priority.

App Crashing After Update
I would give it 5 if there was no crash. The app it’s crashing every time I open it. Using iPhone 11
I tried removing the app and resetting the iPhone then reinstalling, no success. The app gets crash after open.
I thought you should know this. Please fix this, it might be just a simple bug.

#1 App for Drone Operators
Superb app for drone training and operations. Easy to use and intuitive. Training certification and tracking a huge plus. Airspace mapping, rules, advisories, and information beats other apps. Please continue to improve. Has the potential to be the SOLE hub for all commercial and hobby drone operators to gather and file flight info, join forums, meet other operators, post media, etc.

Latest update broke training
The latest update that took the training out of the app and put it on the web completely broke it. Though if I’m being honest, it didn’t work very well before, either. The entire app feels like a poorly coded web app in a native wrapper. Which is a complete shame because I was super excited about the entire concept. But in this form it simply doesn’t work.

Tremendous app! The tutorials are excellent as well. After only a couple of days I was easily able to perform all mode functions plus advanced functions I wasn't even aware
