Login required 90% of app launches (sometimes 2x!)
Title says it all: I have to (re)login about 90% of the times I launch this app, and sometimes I have to login twice in a row). That’s ridiculous. YT and other modern apps rarely (if ever) require a login. Do sessions expire every relaunch or something? And based on what I see in other reviews, this is a known bug that you haven’t fixed.
So yeah, I have a lot of gripes with the app (as others have said, the old ‘ourple’ version was great, the blue app is trash and we have no idea why you destroyed the mobile Droplr with this joke of a replacement, but the service’s features combined with the suuuuper-cheap lifetime discount deal I got make it good enough to look past most of them.
Maybe I’m confused, but you mention in the ‘what’s new’ on the app store that it was updated in Feb of 2024, but it still shows as being 4 years old… 🤦♂️ Your customers (at least most I assume) are paying you monthly... If app updates (at least every 1 or 2 years) aren’t figured into your business model, you’re doing it wrong, and if I was on a subscription plan I’d cancel it without a second thought. Oh, and please don’t take ‘app updates’ to mean horrible, worse versions of the app… it means:
FIX BUGS, IMPROVE THE UI, ADD USEFUL FEATURES, and UPDATE YOUR APP!!! Your subscribers are paying you for that. 😡

Need iPadOS UX support
UX of app is not supported iPadOS.
Dreadful… this is early beta quality software
I love the Mac version for the most part. That said… iOS version is unusable software. It doesn’t allow you to access your photos. It doesn’t let you take a photo to share.
The markup feels like little effort was put into those features. It is a half baked app! Perhaps the dev is fully baked ;)

They gutted the app
This app was phenomenal. I think when it had the purple logo, one tap brought up five options, a second tap chose what kind of note you made, then you were in. Perfect, lean, no friction.
For some reason they swapped it to be a straight desktop version where you have to log in everytime. Then you have to battle the desktop version on your phone.
Now you forgot what note you wanted to write anyway. I told customer service this. They didn’t care at all.
If there’s a solution I’d love to hear it. But the phenomenal interface disappeared for me.

Gotta login every time!
UPDATE: Despite the response from the developers, the app still requires double log in. Super annoying. I’m a longtime Droplr user and I can’t imagine why for such a great service with such a broad customer base, they can’t produce an app that ENHANCES the utility of the service rather than DETRACTS from it… Dropping the star I added, plus one more because that’s the value I get from the app.
Upgrading one star for the response from developers! Really looking forward to the next iteration. I love the service. I rely on it heavily every day. When it comes to sharing files with ease, nothing comes close. Drag a file to the little water droplet in your menu bar, boom, you are done. But the iPhone app is terrible. First, you have to login every time you open the app. And not once! But twice… After you enter your credentials, the screen flips and it asks you for your credentials again… Really bad. I cringe every time I have to send a drop from my phone…

Evolution in the bad
I am not interested in your application as it is, because sharing is not only about screenshots.
Much better than the old app, but…
I’ve been using the old, old app (with purple icon) for so long not knowing this new app existed. This app works much better than the old one. It handles the latest video and image formats just fine where the old one didn’t.
However, this new app doesn’t seem to have a share extension, which an app whose sole purpose is to share screenshots, files, etc, desperately, desperately needs! Can we get a share extension please?

I don’t know who is behind the boss desk now but thanks God the usefulness of this app and service is back !!! I use Droplr as my main tool for sharing docs to my clients. It was the tool that make Dropbox obsolete in my workflow. Then Mobile apps changed and it really start costing me more money trying to keep up with my clients than taking advantage with the new droplr apps! I was forced to use the website to do what I was used with the original apps. Then I managed to get back the legacy app for a while, but I seriously didn’t knew why they changed the app and what kind of users they were after. The frustration start growing, I try to use Cloudapp, then Cleanshot X, but none of them offer a all-in-one tool like Droplr. I can send zip files, pictures, files, docs, projects, audio files, everything just with droplr and suddenly they didn’t let you share anything anymore! Just pics or screen videos. They basically kill their own app until now! The app works great, and it’s back to business! I’m trying not to cry here. Whoever did this got my respect! Thanks for bringing back a tool as we designers need for our workflow! I wish you luck to gain back your reputation after all this mess. I wish you all the success in the world!

Finally a working app again
By chance I have just discovered that there is a another app than the one I had installed. So I did not get any update as it was a totally different app. And it seams it‘s eben out since three years! I was not informed about it, although I am a premium user. Had always been annoyed with the old app that didn't work. Thanks!

Vast improvement
Well done guys. This is a very useful way to do screen grabs and recordings on my iphone. Huge step forward from the last version.

Han capado tanto la app que ahora solo sirve para subir archivos, pero no para compartirlos. Incomprensible que te hagan ir a la versión web para compartir.
Sospecho que el modelo de negocio no les ha salido rentable y han tenido que recortar por ahí.

Can not be used to upload anything but images/videos
It is not integrated into the system to allow for sharing via the share sheet. Making it unusable in most contexts. I now generally just use the website.

This is just an absolute nonsense, absurd app. It has just nothing. Useless piece of crap.

Through this version of the app, you can only upload and shortlink images. It isn’t possible to shortlink webpage URLs or even view past Drops.
Useless
Not sure what this app is trying to achieve, but as is, it is useless. Hope to see new functionalities added soon.

Great service, rubbish app
I have no idea why this iOS app lets you do so little given the previous app did a whole lot more.
With this app I can only upload photos and get a link to my latest Droplr upload.
Unlike the old app (which I thankfully still have installed) I can’t browse all of my uploads. I may as well just use the website (even though it isn’t very touch-friendly)
