About
DropMatch — lose weight with someone in your corner.
Most weight-loss apps are either a lonely spreadsheet or a shouty cheerleader. DropMatch is neither.
It's a weight-loss match: you and a friend each try to lose weight over a set stretch, scored fairly by percentage so the bigger and the smaller person both have a real shot — with an optional handicap to even things up further. No friend in the mood? Go solo. The app works just as well as a match against yourself.
Behind it is an AI coach who actually pays attention. Pick the voice that fits you — warm, dry, cheeky, or direct — and get a short, honest nudge that reads your real week, not a generic "you've got this." It won't congratulate a gain, won't invent progress, and won't nag you to step on the scale every day. The goal isn't a perfect week. It's staying in the game.
HOW IT WORKS
• Challenge a friend — or yourself — to a weight-loss match
• Weigh in on your own schedule; Apple Health can log it for you
• Fair percentage scoring, with an optional handicap
• Add side bets — steps, sleep, no late-night snacks — whatever keeps you honest
• Get a short coach note that's specific to your week, in a voice you chose
WHY PEOPLE STICK WITH IT
• Accountability, not shame. The coach is honest and kind — it tells you the truth without dressing it up or beating you with it.
• Built for real life. Flat weeks and slip-ups are normal, and the app treats them that way.
• Private by default. Your numbers are yours; your match partner only sees what you choose to share.
DropMatch is for people who've tried the lonely tracker and the loud motivator and wanted something in between: a bit of friendly competition, real accountability, and a coach honest enough to be worth listening to.

What's New in DropMatch
1.5
August 15, 2026
Your bonus goals now live on your account rather than inside a single match. They follow you from one match to the next — and you can answer for days that have already passed. Also new: • Walks are picked up from your step count, with no workout to log • Mark a prize as settled once it actually is • Archive matches and partners you’re finished with • Your coach can send a friendly nudge to a partner who’s gone quiet Plus plenty of tidying: named matches show their name, invitation links share as a single link, notifications arrive in the language you use the app in, and it’s clearer when a match is actually over.
