About

Look up any medication in seconds — from its barcode, or straight from the name printed on a pharmacy bottle. Most pharmacy labels don't carry a scannable NDC barcode. DrugScan solves that: point your camera at the label and it reads the medication name on-device, then pulls up the official FDA label. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Scan Barcode — read the manufacturer's NDC barcode on a box or bottle • Scan Label — photograph the name on a pharmacy label when there's no barcode • Enter NDC manually — type the code yourself • Look up dietary supplements by name WHAT YOU GET • A plain-language summary of what a medication is for, its key warnings, and how it's used • Full FDA label detail: active and inactive ingredients, purpose, indications, dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and precautions • Manufacturer package photos where available • Supplement ingredients, amounts, and %DV • A saved list of your medications to revisit anytime PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-up — the app never learns who you are • Barcode scanning and label reading happen entirely on your iPhone • Label photos are never uploaded or saved • Saved medications stay on your device • No ads, no trackers, no analytics WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Information comes from the FDA's openFDA and DailyMed databases and the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database — the same public records pharmacists reference. SUBSCRIPTION Every install includes 3 free lookups. After that, a subscription unlocks unlimited lookups and plain-language summaries. Monthly or yearly, auto-renewing until canceled; manage or cancel anytime in Settings. IMPORTANT DrugScan is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Label matching — especially reading a name from a photo — is a best guess, so always confirm the result matches the product in your hand. Always read the product label and consult a pharmacist or clinician.
