Side grid

There’s a side grid that messes my patterns, I can’t program without the wrong kinds of sounds come in that are not compatible! Hoe can I fix it?

Purchases not restoring

IOS 26.1 and DPP purchases don’t restore.

Can’t restore purchases

Dear developer I had made in app purchases on here before but can’t restore them please fix thanks 🙂

Not bad, not great

Restore purchases doesn't work. Restore all does nothing. All packs still show as a purchase option.

A pretty good drum option. Not the best sound quality but not terrible. The UI is a bit of a nightmare.

Congratulations on the second life of the application

Glitches in AU3, Inter-App, at least in Cubasis 3, still need to be fixed.

Version 2.0 Update with new JAM Mode: Game Changer!

I totally feel this is now my go to drummer app after this wonderful update 2.0!

Seriously, having a ton of fun jamming while playing electric guitar and combining it with Groovebox!

The "Jam" option really took it over the top for me.

I'm trying now, after playing for like 5 hours nonstop with an electric guitar, to learn to send the midi out or audio out while in Jam Mode to Cubasis. This would really make it so easy to record a truly "Live" drummer feel track into Cubasis and record a full drum track live on the go!

I honestly think the new JAM feature of DP Pro is going to get a lot of people to buy this app even more!

It no longer feels like a cumbersome boring app to learn, which it never was, just that for non-drummers, like myself, it felt too deep to learn and configure.

Not anymore!

Now with the new Jam feature, this app has been infused with a boatload of fresh air!!!

It feels fun to press the Jam button! Select the pattern you wanna rock to, and voila!!! Rock on! Love it....

@Gilbert how hard would it be to code an option in the Fill button to say automatically have the "Fill" go to "Ride"? That would be so cool amd save a step of having to hit the "Fill (M)" then hitting the Ride button. That would rock!
Also, I would suggest the Jam Screen section to be larger and more readily accessible. For those of us with larger fingers it would be so cool! Perhaps reducing the Kits Section in the Pattern Screen? And increase the JAM section, perhaps giving you even more flexibility to add more option buttons?

Any possibility to that options?

Thank-you to all the wonderful developers at DrumPerfect Pro! This is the best Update ever!

I highly recommend this drummer app!

MIDI-OUT is needed

Bluetooth Midi-Out is needed!

Great app but

In 2024 there needs an update. In using drum-effect pro with logic on iPad there doesn’t seem to be a way to use the apps together. All I am able to get is a demo beat to play through.

Great sounding drums

Sounds so good. There is an excellent quick start guide that is over twenty pages. Top notch! It is a deep program and there are videos on youtube that spell it out. I was put off by an earlier comment about the dev not having information on how to use the program, but between the videos and the quick start its really good value.

This makes me so happy. Please bring this update

Lacks a Proper Demonstration and Manual

I have had this app for a long time, it is the only one of its kind for iOS. It has such potential but the feature set is essentially hidden.

Apparently the dynamic layers have been increased but how to use them is a mystery.

Many functions are hidden behind a ‘long press.’

Which add ons do I own? Who knows? There is no indication on the Store page.

I really wish there was proper documentation and or demonstrations.

Such a top rate app with such a sad stumbling block.

Pretty good

I like the capability of this app, but I have an older iPad, and dpp runs pretty slow, or crashes. It takes a long time to load up, as well.
It hasn’t been updated in a year, and I’m hoping I didn’t make a mistake by purchasing this.

Dear Developer

I opened up your app again today because I have always wanted to take advantage of what it offers. I’ve owned it for years, but the frustration it caused always defeated my efforts to sort it out.

However, I have an exciting project that really needs a human feel and a realistic acoustic sound, so I was determined to finally understand how to use your app. And, with hours of effort, I finally started to piece together enough information from the manual and quick guide to begin to feel like it’s going to eventually all make sense. Not enough to actually do what I want yet, but enough to feel confident that I’ll get there.

That’s when I decided I’m never going to recommend your app, and I’m going to try to find an alternative as soon as I finish this review. Because once I started to see how it works, I realized that you could have just explained and demonstrated it it to your users in a few thoughtfully constructed tutorials. Or you could have introduced improvements to the interface. Or—given the number of years since the app was originally released—you could have done both.

So, congratulations. DrumPerfect Pro isn’t the only music app that I found challenging to learn, but it is the only one that made me feel contempt for its creator. Your app is an insult to musicians whose time should be spent making music, not untangling some mad developer’s brain (while paying for the privilege). You should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Overly complicated

Okay. I just got the stock kits to trigger with a Roland Octapad spd- 30, so I decided to move forward with the app. I soon discovered there’s no easy way to disable pattern play, and simply play kits live. I poked around and erased the patterns, but upon a reboot I’m back to digging around on how to disable. Next, I decided to purchase the rock kit (demos of all kits not loading BTW) and I can’t figure out where to access the new kit. Where the new kit I just purchased? It’s seeming like this is way more complicated than it needs to be. I’ll be looking for a refund soon, cause I don’t have time for endless futzing

Sound fabulous, needs AU3

Drum perfect sounds better than anything else on IOS. The one problem is the lack of full AU3 compatibility. It really needs this feature added in order to stay relevant, and hopefully continue to be developed.

Feature request

Hi I absolutely love the app the only thing I am missing is the ability to select all the midi patterns at once or multiple ones at that and export them all at once but separated files for each pattern. Could this be a feature? Thank you for your time.

It’s amazing

Apps is perfect and also pro level…..I love to use this apps…I want more videos about tutorial and also much more drum pattern and also new upgrades with new surprises.

Historically love the app, but experiencing frustrating crashes

I am having a crashing issue every time I hit the load button on the song tab. Running iPad Pro 9.7” iOS 14.3. Please help!

Extremely Difficult

I’ve been using pro audio at major label and arena concert levels for decades. There is nothing intuitive out the layout and the graphical user interface. Eq’s and compressors and such are not located in the mixer page which runs contrary to every audio mixer design since the 40’s. Simply peaking at the drum samples causes a destructive edit of the drum kits. MIDI defaults only to channel 10 and not Omni like every piece of midi gear in the past 40’s years. I could go on but why bother. There is practically no decent internet tutorials. The few that do exist have a very think foreign accents further exacerbating the frustration of the user experience. I can’t recommend this program. Just use Garage band. It’s free and there’s little this offers over it.

Awesome App

I play Brazilian music on the guitar and this app is simply amazing!
Lots and lots of beats in 3 Brazilian packages...supported by an amazingly natural drumming engine...I control the changes of patterns in live through a midi pedal hooked to my iPad.
In brief...A dream for serious musicians.
