What's New in Dry Ride

1.5.2

September 13, 2026

This update focuses on accuracy and polish across the app and widget. **More accurate ride windows** - Ride times shown throughout the app now match the widget and are measured more precisely, so a suggested window reflects your full riding time instead of cutting it an hour short. - "Disable night time" now correctly ends the riding day at 8 PM everywhere in the app, and its description now follows your device's 12- or 24-hour clock setting. - Fixed a case where the app could suggest riding through a stretch of the day it didn't actually have weather data for. **Destination weather improvements** - When you look up another city, the card now shows the current local time there, so ride times are never mistaken for your own. - Fixed a rare case where checking a destination could briefly show the wrong city's result. - Fixed frost and overheat warnings not appearing for a destination outside its riding hours. **Widget improvements** - The widget now updates itself throughout the day instead of freezing at the moment it was last generated, so temperature, conditions, and warnings stay current. - A widget that can't refresh now clearly says its forecast is out of date and invites you to open the app, instead of appearing stuck or showing a stale result. - The small widget no longer cuts off longer city names. - Frost and overheat warnings on the widget now reflect the current hour instead of ones that already passed. - The widget now updates promptly when you change your temperature, rain, or unit preferences, or toggle night-time hours. **Settings redesign** - The Settings screen has been rebuilt with a cleaner, more native layout. It can no longer be accidentally dragged sideways, and each setting's explanation is now shown directly below it. **Reliability** - Notifications no longer get stuck showing "on" after permission is denied. - Background weather refresh is now more reliable and no longer reports success when it couldn't actually complete. - Fixed your city name occasionally staying blank after a failed lookup. - Fixed precipitation and minimum temperature settings sometimes resetting after relaunching the app. - General performance and battery improvements from reducing unnecessary widget updates.

Very helpful

Really nice and intuitive app! Congrats!

Clean, easy to use, and so far doesn’t seem to be harvesting my data

I saw this app on Reddit and was excited right away to see what a fellow rider would come up with. Overall I’ve really loved it so far! UI is clean and easy to use, information is accurate, and I haven’t seen any security concerns so far. I’m excited to see what directions this app goes in!

Thanks so much for the kind words!

One stop WX report😎

So nice to just look in one spot instead of averaging out 9 different weather apps! None ever agree so this is a nice, simple , compilation for outdoor activities!
