Good, but…
Very good app and very useful for football games of all levels. However, the stats from the game don’t show up for me. Like I said though, still a very useful app.
Media Mode?
I love this app, but I can only score games for one team throughout the season. I would LOVE to have the ability as a media member to choose the schools I want to score for each week because that changes week to week for me. (Specifically if neither of those schools use DS themselves).
Arena
I am curious if this app has applications for a 50 yard field, kickoffs at the goal line, and some of the other unique aspects of the arena game. If so, please let me know!!!

I did a mini league for my neighborhood and this worked FANTASTIC. Because it keeps stats we were able to have awards which was lots of fun. I recommend for anyone who wants a very good stats app.
Great App
I just started using this app to score my son’s HS team. Easy to use and great stat reporting. Awesome customer service.
Very helpful in many ways
Been using this app for a couple seasons for our local HS team. Our Coach was not used to having instant stats, someone kept them on a legal pad and took a couple days to compile them. Now, post game, Coach pulls out his phone and can see his numbers. He’s never had the amount of information he’s now getting at his fingertips.
Our broadcast team is also loving having the info available during the game broadcasts. I upload stats during breaks and they use a laptop to keep current on numbers during the game.
The reports also let us easily email box scores to media outlets as soon as the game is final.

Stat problems
The Stats won’t sync over. What should I do?

Where are the totals?
I spent hours capturing the stats from each play only to find the stats page is all zeros and when I share a highlight it has stats but they are all incomplete. Almost as bad as hudl.

We're a little confused. The highlight feature was disabled a long time ago. You might be referring to something else? The stats are calculated on the server, so you must be connected to the internet for those to sync up. Stats are still saved locally, and will be synchronized automatically when connected. Then stats will show. If you have further questions about how to use the app, we'd be glad to help answer them if you send them to us at support@digitalscout.com.

Fantastic, Useful, Helpful
I tried earlier to learn a different app to keep my HS football team's stats, but I couldn't get it. Then I found Digital Scout and was using it in a day. Very intuitive and reliable and the support has been excellent. They provided immediate answers to my questions and suggestions.

Great for fast, simple offensive stats. Other stats are not very accurate.
I’ve used this app for many games and find it great for quickly entering and tallying offensive and special teams stats. However, defensive stats are not very accurate by standard guidelines for tackles. You get one primary tackle and one assist, but that skews the results when reporting or exporting for MaxPreps because the first person entered on a tackle is credited with a solo tackle plus an assist. Those aren’t the true stat numbers since two players taking an opponent down should both count as assisted tackles in the majority of cases, by standard stats rules, anyway.
My biggest reason for not using this app is inaccurate reporting for defensive stats followed closely by a lack of options for other stats such as YAC, QB Hurries, etc.
My second problem with the app and its biggest shortcoming, somewhat easily worked around, is DO NOT USE IT WHILE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET. Its continual syncing in the background is great for livecasting a game, but if you have to go back and correct a prior play that has already been synchronized, nightmares ensue. Play numbers become jumbled, time of possession becomes irreparable, and generally trying to use it during a game becomes impossible. Down/distance, direction on field, almost EVERYTHING becomes unusable until the plays are deleted back to the last play before an edit and ensuing plays re-entered.
Great for simple stuff, but beware if you want by-the-books accuracy. I had to switch products to get the accuracy I needed, which is a shame because I love their interface and many other things they did so well for quick, live stats entry if you don’t need to go back and correct any mistakes.

Stats double
This is a great app for tracking team stats for high school football. But if you have more than one person reporting stats for your team it will double after the game is synced. If you could have the option to store the stats on your phone instead of the server to remedy that problem but other than that needing to be fixed it's a great app but it needs work!!

There are systems to handle two opposing teams both recording stats. However, if two record for the same team, it can get ... complicated. Contact support@digitalscout.com and explain your situation and we have controls that can turn on and off stat reports so the data comes out correctly for you.

This is my second year of using this app doing stats for the high school team. Last year no problem, this year when I go to sync the game stats they mess up...it's almost like the stats double for some reason. I tried contacting the maker but nothing.
Great for HS statisticians
Takes a little while to get the hang of the app but once you do it's a big time saver. I'd love to be able to upload stats straight from the app instead of having to use my PC but that's a minor issue.
FYI - for high school teams only
I was looking for an app to track stats for a youth FB team, but their support team stated they only work with US high schools.

Why do I have to send an email to someone to register my team? Can I just actually register my team without doing the email procedure? It's complicated. Other than that, it's really good. I like that you can add penalties and make plays so easily. I'll give it five stars if you improve on team registration.

New update broke it
App was great until update. Now it freezes and crashes immediately upon opening. Please fix immediately. Games start this week.
