Awesome service especially with Restoration support
Awesome service at a reasonable price with VPN and full restoration service!
Signing in
The problem with both their main page and their app, is that signing in is about 20% workable. So if you get an alert and need to sign in to check it, good luck.
Pleased so far
Fairly new to this app/service, but longtime user of ID protection after theft incident years ago. Six months ago I replaced my original dinosaur service with a new HEAVILY marketed service, but that one just isn’t reliable. So, I’m trying IDShield now and so far so good. It was easy to get signed up and I used a combo of the website and this app to enter all of my monitored info and set everything up. I set low limits for my Financial Threshold Monitoring to test and it’s giving timely alerts. Really like the Privacy Check feature and I think that’s a key part of overall protection. I think the general app/service interface could use a little streamlining/improvement (I sent an email to support with some suggestions), but it’s still quite functional. Unrelated, I just had need to contact support by phone and that was quick and easy. Overall, I’m really liking IDShield so far.

Scam?
The cancellation process is awful, sending an email to their support with all your member info, and they never confirm cancellation but rather pretend they are still processing it. Not sure who Pre paid legal services is but their business practices seems suspect.

FaceID does not work and now neither does the app
I have been a member for many years. I recently tried to add faceID to the app so I wouldn’t have to dig out my password and the app is completely nonfunctional on my phone; however, I can access my account from my laptop using the standard login. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix the problem. The app seems to be trying to access the camera even when I try to disable it. It sends a 2FA code and a blue screen with the faceID logo and the message “signing you in…” appears. Nothing happens. Covering up the camera or making sure camera access is allowed in Settings makes no difference.
