The audio feed continues to play even when your phone goes to idle mode (screen is off). News articles are text-only, no graphics or videos. Any text file can be selected to be read out loud, but this app is specialized to read DT News articles. Select from the available text-to-speech voices on your device. Voice can be changed in mid-stream. News articles are curated from US and global news sources, and are presented in their full length (not just summaries or headlines). If you tire of hearing the entire article, just press the Next media button on your headset or car radio to immediately skip to the next article. As an added bonus, DT News has developed a Virtual News Correspondent, Jordan Blake, who creates news headlines three times a day from global news items. She uses AI to help her find items of interest and summarizes them into 2 or 3 sentences. Jordan has her own voice and will read these headlines to you at the beginning of the newscast. You can scroll through Jordan's headlines using her own set of Next/Previous buttons.
