Wants to charge me again???

This is app does a decent job in all its functions. But with the new update it’s requiring me to repurchase the upgrade that includes Buzz Feinten. And there is not “restore previous purchase” button.

Excellent

Great, easy to use tuner and easy to access metronome. I use the tuner more than my Peterson.

As of 2025

I have used this app reliably for over a decade now. It is a no muss, no fuss, tuner / metronome / chord library.

No hidden in app purchases or subscriptions. Highly recommend.

Great app!

I have had no problems with this app so far. I am also a member of D’addario’s players circle, and I was so excited to see they made an app that I could use with guitar.

Awesome!

This is a great app. It works well and is loaded with everything you need to help get in tune, practice and play. Thank you!!

Great app, needs mute button

Very pleased with this free app. Really wish it had a mute button for the metronome so I can hear it and then mute it while playing instead of having to use the volume button. Thanks!

Now it doesn’t work on iOS 12.5.7

Best free guitar utility app!

PROS: The chord diagrams are a beginner’s best friend! I often time find myself learning new 7, 9, etc chords. The chord finder is a must for experimenting with different triades and can help creativity and writing. Scales are a god send and decently accurate although I can’t find a 3 per string for the major scale that I use. The app is also FREE.

Cons: The tuner could use a touch up. It isn’t the most accurate, mic sensitivity can me an issue in a loud room. The metronome shuts off if you close the app which is annoying but you can set it to prevent sleep which keeps the app open during play/performance. If these 2 things could get worked on… I’d be one happy camper.

But hey, the app is free so you really can’t complain! I’d recommend Chordify for jamming along chords to songs, Ultimate guitar for tabs, and D’Tools for practice/checking your work.

Underrated all-in-one app

Was playing around the App Store to check if there’s a d’addario app or smtn then I found this app. Before this app I previously had 3 apps just for guitar tuning and chord finding. Design wise could use a little bit more but from a functionality stand point, it’s really good! I recommend it!

Missing previous features

Previously all the modes were available. Now they’re missing. Please fix.

Chord Finder Tuning is Way Off!

Most of the app seems fine, but the sound of the Chord Finder is about a whole step too high. I can’t find an adjustment except for the tuner, whatcha was actually set at 432. I changed it to 440. No difference. Looks like it’s no longer supported either. Too bad.

Tuner not working

As with D’tune, it’s not accessing phone microphone at all. Shame.

Tuner is useless

Bought a new iPhone 8 and it won’t let d’Tools access the microphone (rendering the Tuner completely useless)

Why doesn’t the app request microphone access when installed, and why isn’t there an option to do so in the setup area?

Used to love this app. Not so anymore.

Not working

Tuner no longer works???

Tuner doesn’t work.

Please fix it.

Needs work. Audio problems.

On the first few uses it seemed great. Chord finder and scales were neat. Felt kinda clunky but worked. I actually really liked the metronome and trainer included. However once my phone rebooted, I got no more sounds. On the metronome and the chord dictionary. No audio. I rebooted, closed, reopened, reinstalled and still sounds don't work. Disappointing because it's otherwise pretty useful.

App keeps trying to phish me.

Why is it still available?

Awesome App

Very intuitive and useful 👌🏼

Tuner is off

Just discovered last night that the tuner tunes my guitar slightly flat, although the app shows that it’s in tune.

Tuner does not work in iOS 11....

Boooooooooooooo...
