No AI model makes the forecast. The score is a fixed formula with eight factors you can see on every region: cold fronts, wind, freeze and snow upstream, local open water, season timing, crop harvest and hunter reports. Duckcast holds commercial licensing for multiple data sources. We also test it Against 97 GPS-tracked mallards, the day each bird actually left scored higher on our weather push than the days before it 83% of the time, against 64% for a placebo and 50% for chance. We set the pass mark before running it. The nightly radar check is there to confirm that birds lifted in that region and what direction they were heading, the radar results are not factored into the score in any way. It's a forecast of hunting conditions, not a duck count, and the app says so. If you want the details, reach us at getduckcast.com/support.
