It was very difficult finding matches within my area and even more so if it wasn’t paid for. This app is very clearly a pay to play and the matches that you may get for free are quite literally a miracle. Do not recommend unless you want to spend upwards of $30 a week just to maybe have a chance at a match that results in a meetup. Waste of time app.

False verification system
The app was great until I suddenly lost verification. I’ve been unable to get verified again for over two months despite falling every step I use different devices from my camera. I use different pictures. I use more recent pictures and I contacted support. I was verified multiple times before. Understand why it’s flagging me like this. I’m clearly not a fake profile. So disappointing that this problem has still.

Almost impossible to use as the average person?
I DLed this for the good (fake) reviews but you’re INSTANTLY asked to pay. I got like two matches that aren’t conpatible and I supposedly have all of these matches waiting for me demanding payment. Screw right off… the love of your life isn’t behind a paywall.

You buy their subscription for $$$ and then it doesn’t let you message local people without paying more money. I bought the highest subscription and only saw people over 100 miles away. When you go to the local tab the only option is to use the communication option that costs money

The app itself is clean it’s a good format it looks good but their pricing format is horrific you can’t talk to anybody unless you start pay and when you do start paying all the people that you thought you’re gonna get to talk to you have to upgrade to the next plan and then you’ll get to talk to you that they won’t be around anymore this is strictly dollar driven and there’s no rhyme or reason to it I paid for a subscription two days later I canceled because it’s just not work it.

algorithm sucks
I signed up, answered the questions about preferences and type, and the app is showing me everyone who doesn't even meet my bare minimum.
App sucks the good reviews are bots
App progressively gets more and more worse . First it sends you fake notifications for old matches you have already received and misleading notifications in general. When swiping i see the same people every day in the same order. And now you have to give a rating and review everytime you use the app . IT SUCKS

Don’t waste your money
What an absolute joke. I paid the $49.99 for a 3 month subscription. Everyone it shows is at least 200+ miles away. When I click on nearby, all of the profiles are blurry and Duet wants another $75 to unlock them!

I loveeee duet don’t get me wrong I love so many features about it! But I think they definitely need to change their distance meter and make it to where it is wayyyy more local and not have to pay even more for it that part is ridiculous and when I swipe no one people it glitches and makes me swipe no on people that I did actually like but other than that I have no complaints I met amazing people on there some I’m friends with others are exes but it was a really great match at first duet makes it safe

Needs to be more LGBTQ+ friendly
I’ll start with I’m a gay trans man. I often get a stray female in my queue. That’s not a problem. The problem is the app is constantly asking to get a read on my preference and to select 8 profiles out of a select amount and they’re all women. I have to close out the app and relaunch it because there’s no way to get out of that page. Additionally when on the messaging page it pushes for me to chat with a female who liked my profile. Which leads me to why am I showing up in women’s queue?
Aside from the lack of it not being LGBTQ+ why am I seeing people 500+ miles away from me when I specifically say no more than 30 miles.

Almost everyone was multiple states away.
Even when having my filter set to less than 100 miles, it would still give me people who live hours upon hours away. “Nearby” is its own section and requires a subscription to access…? Being nearby is pretty important to most people.
Waste of time
Just another garbage dating app. Fake profiles or impossibly distant while all the while trying to scam you into paying for nothing. What a joke.

Location doesn't matter
I live in Las Vegas and it keeps showing me women who live in California or Arizona. Rarely will it show me people in Las Vegas.
@Duet - if there aren't people available in my area... that is OK. Just don't make me waste me time scrolling all the way to the bottom, just to see that this amazing woman lives over 600 miles from me. YEESH. Waste of time.

Not thrilled
Not on it very much. Have texted maybe 2 girls just saying "hey how's it going". Next morning i'm permanently banned with no reason given. Submitted an appeal and waiting on a response.
