Just a Marketing Scheme
I got a 2022 HP pavilion particularly for this app. Now I see it was just a short term marketing scheme for both HP and Duet.
iPad as Additional Monitor
When I am working remotely and just have my work laptops, Duet works great in making my iPad a functional monitor for extending my workspace. Comparing excel sheets or moving photographs from various folders is a lot easier with Duet. Needing a quick solution to watch reference videos while working on your laptop, Duet has you covered.

False Advertising
Despite stating it works with HP Spectre 2021+, it only actually supports two models of HP Spectre. Both my 2022 and 2023 HP Spectre laptops “cannot be verified”.
Duet support says it only works with these two models:
HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 16-f0xxx
HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 16t-f0xxx
They kindly suggest I download the paid version.

Does not work with HP Spectre.
Don’t waste your time, this is frustrating and buggy beyond belief. Keep looking!
Fake
I just spent the last two hours trying to get the app to work but it just can't! If you look at the other reviews you will see what a scam this app is. You have to pay for the app to work and it is just not worth it. There are so many better apps that have amazing instructions. I would honestly give the app zero stars as it just wants more people to see how many people have downloaded it.

I have an HP Victus, which is a 2021 laptop. It says it’s not a 2021 laptop, despite that not being the case. Very annoying, I was looking forward to using the app.

Not working
This application is not working. I have HP OMEN computer and I tried to use my iPad mini 2 as a second monitor but the application on both devices were not able to connect to each other.
The iOS app couldn’t verify my computer as HP, and the computer app couldn’t detect my iPad.

I have an HP laptop HP 15t-dy 100 that I bought new in the past 2 years. 10 gen i7.
After following all the instructions and download and install the duet software on my laptop, I connect my ipad 11 pro 2018 to it, and the app keep saying Could not verify on the second step, although the computer show notification from duet that it has detect new ios device connected.
I do a search online and there seem to be no support or mentions regarding this Duet for HP app anywhere, even on the duet website.
