Clunky

Very clunky app. Not very well thought out. I just want to open the app and instantly see a map of where I am with all the nearby dog friendly places marked on it, and a filter to only show pubs/cafes etc. Instead it’s primarily list based, which isn’t very helpful, and the map functionality that it does have is clunky and frustrating to use. Could be so much better.

Out of Date

Good idea and fine interface. But have provided info about missing dog friendly places using app’s facility for doing so, but have never received acknowledgement nor had places added. Not useful because of these numerous omissions and lack of updates even when reported.

Useless

Can't search by type or location. Slow,returns empty pages,Have to browse through all categories to find a restraint for example. And not free? Rubbish.

Brilliant app

Fantastic app, dont know what I’d do without it. Don’t like asking places if you can bring the dog in. This saves any hassle. Well done on making this.

Poor

I wanted to like it but it really doesn’t work very well and misses out whole areas of the country (especially in Scotland!). Shame.

Hi Susie, are you using version 3.2.5? This sounds strange if you are. I don't know what areas you believe are missing for Scotland but your review is not correct. There are 1000's of listings for Scotland and also pins on our interactive map. It is the most comprehensive Scotland guide out there. It covers all areas. I put a lot of effort into ensuring we have an extensive collection of listings in Scotland. For example, there has been around 200 new ones in Scotland added in the past week. Before posting a review please consider emailing the support first for any business. Negative reviews with incorrect information can have a large effect on small businesses which is unfair. New layout

Can’t understand why the layout was ever changed for this app. It used to be simple and very easy to use and now it’s too much of a fuss for a quick glance at places nearby. Instead I’m required to scroll about the screen and find the places as if it’s some sort of treasure hunt. Hopefully it will be changed back.

Hi Nat2Gra, are you using version 3.2.5? If not please can you download that version as you will find that everything is as you would expect it to be. If it is not I would be grateful if you could send me a support request. There is a Scotland Other section which has a large selection of interactive maps and listings. Thanks Rhian.

Good app!

Don’t know what I was doing wrong before but previous 2 star review is retracted! Is there maybe an issue using it not on WiFi? Either way I’ve gone back in and can now see a wide range of things in my area.

Hi there, please get in touch via the feedback form on the app as that doesn't sound correct. It's true there are more in Scotland but I sent a sticker to the Paper Duck in Harborne B17 so I know they are listed. I searched Birmingham B17 on the Midlands map and can see Paper Duck, Hop Garden, White Horse and the Junction. At least 20 straight away around that area. Also places in Moseley including Prince of Wales in B13. Places also in B1 postcode inc Brewdog. I can send a screenshot when you contact and give you instructions. Please always contact first as most things are easily resolved and I am always willing to help out straight away. Thanks

Clunky to use and not enough content

I live in a very dog friendly neighbourhood in central london and not a single one of the dog friendly establishments is on here. In fact, there’s very few places on here in london at all.

The app is difficult to use as well. It insists on you dragging the map around with two fingers, why? And why do you have to tell it where you are? Surely it can work that out.

Can’t believe I paid for this.

Hi Iampomo, that's strange as in the database there are 440 listings in total for London and all should be available in the London map when searching. Can you confirm where you are looking and which borough / postcode you live in? The London section had a large upgrade not that long ago and continues to be updated. For example, I have sent out at least 10 dogs welcome stickers to London venues in the past 3 weeks and they all get added to the database. If I know how you are using the app and which area is causing the problem I can investigate. Update 30/3: I have removed the 2 finger drag for you which was the default map behaviour. Also now all London places show at once but are grouped by area so you can see the full coverage. These were changes you were looking for. Also if you click "Get My Location" once it should be saving your location for the next time. Any other problems let me know. Thanks

No proper map?

Seems good at first sight, but very odd there's no proper scrolling map showing all locations. Just map of specific location, e.g. City centre, but move outside that area and no entries are shown!

Hi Trebso, only 30 places are shown at any one time near the location you entered as it's designed for when on the move where you can just click "get my current location". For Edinburgh Pubs map for example, you can just enter a new location manually to get another 30 suggestions near the new location. Get in touch if any other questions. Rhian

Not a very good app

Very basic, doesn't show pubs near me. Also purposely searched for a cafe I know has a sticker at the door and this particular cafe didn't show up in my search.

Would expected more consider I paid for it!

Hi there, which location / cafe were you looking for and I can take a look? Note that some businesses that have a sticker actually request that they are not listed. We also receive a large number of submissions and sticker requests and it takes a while for all to be added but they are all added eventually (unless there is a specific reason). My dogs favourite app

I found this app while travelling with our dog in Edinburgh. It's a brilliant way to find places to eat with him while on holiday.

I hope it comes to Manchester soon!

No good for London!

Downloaded and paid for this App for London. It only has two areas, Islington and Hackney! Not happy!

Hi there, I had a look at the database and there are over 400 places listed for London and more getting added all the time. The London page is an interactive map. You just click "get my current location" or enter an address and it brings back the 30 nearest dog friendly places near that location. To see more just enter a new location in London. Let me know if any probs. Thanks Rhian

Absolutely fantastic!

Wouldn't be without this app now that I've found it. Have found so many dog friendly places that we can go that I never knew about! Cafes, pubs, shops you name it. Great idea thank you!

Great app which will get better as more is added. Great support. Hopefully this will encourage more places to become dog friendly.

Good but room for improvement

Very useful app but really needs location based search to be worthwhile along with a map.

Brilliant

Love this app! So easy to use! Gives a comprehensive list and really easy to navigate! Not filled out with unnecessary gumph and give links to available websites for the pubs and links to google maps! Much more confident in taking my Staffie to the pubs on the list! Thanks guys! Glad to see you're expanding! X
