Wildly Inadequate Support
When the game was first released, it was a fun casual game to play. I was a regular and loyal player for years. However, at the end of January 2023, the game developed a bug while I was in a PvP battle. I got repeated error messages when I reloaded the game and clicked continue. I can’t even get in the game to report the glitch through normal means. I have emailed Boss Fight at least four times about the problem. Each time they have said they are looking into it as quickly as they can. It’s now been three weeks, but I still can’t get the game to load unless I want to try to exit the PvP bout that is causing the error, and even then, there’s no guarantee it’ll be fixed. I shouldn’t have to lose a bout because their support is this bad. I played daily for more than 5 years, but if they don’t value me as a player, I am done.

Not as much fun as it once was.
So I played this for a long time several years ago. It was challenging and fun and I didn’t mind putting some money into it at all. When they changed the Tower of Pwnage to be unbeatable for the most part is when I quit playing the first time. I recently came back, started a new game and was having fun so also pulled my old game out and dusted it off. All the reasons I left before flooded back. Right now I am attempting a ToP that has Moriko on 9 of the 11 floors…. Really! You either need to chill the difficulty lvl of them a bit or give them the same rules we have, one and done. Yesterday with my old account I could not get past floor 2… FLOOR 2! I don’t have a way of getting enough leveling potions and gold to hardly keep my legendary characters maxed, the others there is no way - so I am facing the tower gimped as it is. And because of this I have to slow down my leveling as much as I possibly can so I can at least try and keep the legendary characters maxed (this does not include the INSANE cost of leveling the runes). Make this game fun again instead of just catering to the whales please.

Fun but needs some improvement
Ello, this is an honest and general review from a level 80 player that spent nearly 6 years on this game.
I will just start out by saying yes, I spent a little money on this game. But generally, I got to level 80 before I even started to spend money. But yes, this game you should definitely try out. It’s a fun RPG type game with a bunch of heroes to collect and upgrade and has a lot of strategy too. (other than the fact those 2 dragons exist, and serenity) In my opinion, this game is pay to win. There’s Eternal skins that buff a hero’s stats by 80% (which I can bet you, is insanely over-powered), but you need a good guild to even get an eternal skin, in some cases you need to be the Top 10 players in events, but they spend a lot of money in this game, which is hard to even compete against.
Suggestions to improve this game, add a ‘Change Name’ where you can change your name (obviously). Second, make the game more balanced. It’s insanely unbalanced right now considering the OP heroes and the fact you have to spend money.
So in summary, it’s fun if you pay a little money and join a good guild, if you want to spend at least a year on this game tho.
If you really want to get into this game, I suggest you join the Hooligans, ran by Suzabella. She insists that you get your daily crowns done every day, but if you have time to spare, it’s not a huge deal.

Great game however…
This game is amazing the events really help new players and as an experienced player myself I have to say it requires a lot more strategy then meets the eye HOWEVER THIS GAME HAS 1 GIANT ISSUE evolution…while for some heroes like nitpick, Rogar stonecrucher etc. the ascension require some persistence but aren’t impossible however I recall vividly when I wanted to step my ascensions up for the first time and I tried IGOROK but he required to celestial evos the subterranean eco which sounds pretty tame in retrospect but I used nearly 1,000 stamina on beyond the wall and I didn’t get a single celestial evo leaving me to not even be able to play the game for the rest of the day because I had no stamina left and for some heroes such as Lord Zomm (2nd ascension) Kobal (2nd ascension) IGOROK (both) etc. if you could make not saying nerf all ascensions but just one or two that are nearly impossible the community would really appreciate it.

Needs improvement
I’ll keep this clear and concise:
This game is fun, however, the waiting and rewards are insanely bad. 25 minute wait to play one round is garbage. Specially with such a cap cap becomes worthless. I could understand to make the feature for money, but, make the charge every minute and the ability to buy for 4.99 max 9.99 unlimited plays. Instead you pay which I did for 100 a day which isn’t enough. Actually makes the game boring. The rewards for pay to win are not valuable enough to want to pay money for either. The amount of evos and crafting required is not only ridiculous but boring. The adventures are the same where not enough rewards for the time requirement. The game realistically needs no cap on playing. Allow someone to play all day. To combat this have ads and then charge money for no ads even 4.99 max. Make evos a higher drop rate scaing based on dungeon difficulty and level. This goes for gold as well. consolidate the crafting system, where you don’t need 5 different stages and allow for less of the celestial as needed to craft. You can change the shop around to sell evos and more runes. You’d make more money on that way then selling diamonds to buy energy. I’d be willing to put in money that way.

Game is sick!!!! But a few problems
I absolutely love this game and I’ve had for nearly over 2 years I love just abou emerging in the game the unique characters the epic bosses and dungeons along with pvps it’s everything that makes up an RPG game but I do have some problems such as the fact that I believe you guys made it way to difficult to get things like gold and gems I’m aware of the fact that it’s not supposed to be easy to get those things ecspacially since you have grind for nearly almost everything in this game but we should be able to get high amounts of gold from campaign quests but nearly have of those quests give you anything same for diamonds its like you have to depend on a credit card to get high amounts of diamonds fast. Anyways for my final issue is pvp I noticed the higher you get the more challenging the opponents get im 8546 power in total and I’m losing to people who are around 6000 to 7000 power with 1 to 2 good legends who are high in power when my entire team is fully ascended accept for one and one of the main reasons I’m losing is because the defenders go first which is insanely annoying knowing I could have won so please in the next update you do please fix that and allow the raiders to go first

Great Game, Great Polish, Great Developer Support
I’ve been playing this game for several years now, I deleted the game for a long time but picked I back up a few months ago and I love the changes updates, and additions. I also like how the meta in PVP battles shift with new counters, strategies, and balance changes. The gameplay in general is fun and addictive. I will say it can be grindy and the cost of un equipping runes is far to high but those things don’t mean this game deserves a 4 star review, me and my friend joke this is raid shadow legends but good because honestly, raid shadow legends is this game if you defiled this game and tore it to its bare bones, shoved it with ads and micro transactions and spent 5 minutes trying to fix it. So anyway 5 stars

Is good but one glitch
I love this game I’ve played it when I was younger on my pops old black tablet I just now installed it and it’s very fun! I love everything about it the characters, the style and ascending people all the way through, I love how you get it’s a good game it’s just when sometimes you’ll get a legendary person and u one shot a lot of the campaigns minion (the people before the boss) and it’s pretty easy to me so to my request I would increase the minions and the bosses health so it can be challenging plus not to mention a glitch I get when I play too long it kicks me out sometimes not all he time but I would love it if you fixed it.

What a shame
I have never left a review on any app before but I have to with this.
I played this game a couple of years ago a lot and it was so amazing. You could progress slowly and only spend money if you wanted to go a bit quicker which I did at times because I enjoyed the game so much. I come back to the game and the devs have literally abandoned the game and turned it into a pay to play cash grab that is only fun if you’re consistently spending money on things that used to be free.
The devs had two choices: keep putting out awesome updates, make the game better and figure out who to draw in more people with promotion (which as you see how popular some other games are in this genre is very possible) or abandon the game, strip away a bunch of stuff that made the game great and turn it into a cash grab for suckers who are willing to spend money on the skeleton of the game that it used to be.
Very sad to see. If you’re thinking about downloading this game, don’t. There are better options out there in this genre now unfortunately.
I’ll be checking on this game to see if they revert any changes as I do really miss the game but refuse to play it in this state.

Love it But Want a New Addition
This is a great game and is super fun. From the cool characters and Bosses to the thrill of winning against the big bosses. This is a great game but I would like an upgrade to the my dungeon mode.
Playing other players is the best part of the game, however I would like to be able to play my friends and guild members to see how I stack up against them. You rarely find your friends in my dungeon, and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that choosing who you play in pvp would be awesome. It would be even cooler if you could get a live pvp in there.

Good but lots of bugs
The game itself is really good, very fun, and can be done pretty easily while spending no money (if you’re willing to grind a little bit). There are tons of bugs though, for example a character called Agnon can turn people into stone, but another character that has an ability called ethereal spirit, can’t die while they have that effect, so if agnon makes an ethereal spirit into stone, it’s an infinite loop and whoever has agnon just has to give up. Another bug is that the filter heroes option just plain doesn’t work at all, no matter what option you choose it won’t filter the heroes.
There are plenty more little bugs and quality of life changes that could be made, but other than those it’s a pretty good game.

Review
Personally, I like the game. U can grind a lot, grow and ascend your heroes, lvl them up, and just get more stuff. But I feel like the downfall is how much work u have to put in just to ascend one legendary hero. And if u are trying to make a team of beasts, undead, or anything else, it takes triple that time. So the request is that I hope getting celestial evos and monarchs will be a little easier in the future. Right now I it takes me about 2 - 3 weeks just to ascend one hero once. Or maybe like make Heroic summons a little harder to get and make evos a little easier to obtain so it balances out.
But u no, overall it is a fun game that u can interact with guild mates and get tokens, loot dungeons, gain trophies and during events inevitably get awesome rewards. I would recommend it to people as well.

Game is great some recent bugs
The game over all is fun for people who like to grind out and loot. The PvP team vs team raid is also something you can do to grind out for end of season rewards. The campaign is fun and is perfect for those people wanting to solo play. Over all I really love this game it fits my personal preference for games.

Amazing game, But One Big Flaw.
Now, when I first got this I absolutely loved it, it was my favorite game ever.
Although it still is an amazing game, that really does’t matter anymore because of what happened to me. One day I was just playing the game, enjoying everything about it, the graphics, the gameplay, the levels, the hero’s, and more, then I turned it off to do something.
Then, the next time I came on to play, it said “Error failed to connect to server. Check your connection and try again. Press OK to retry.” So, I checked my connection, it was just fine, and all my other games were working. Ever since then, I couldn’t and still can’t play the game I loved. That is why I gave it three stars. If the devs are seeing this, please try and fix this.

You see, I had everything... I wanted in this game. I beat the litch, I thought I had it all! Then one day. I purchased a skin for I can’t remember his name, it was a half man has horse warrior with an axe. I purchased the skin. But then.... when I pressed buy, it kicked me out. And it kept glitching... and I had to delete it. And- and I lost my account. And I worked hard. I had Solaris (my favorite) igorok, and that recarnation guy. I was so happy tell that day. Then we called someone it said I purchased a “torchy pack” but I bought a skin. And that’s just a bat character idk who would buy something for him. And so.... I rated this a 3 star because I had a good memory of this game. I was so excited when I got all of my characters and now. I have to start over. Thank you for all the good memories you brought me dungeon boss. But I think the adventure will end here...

Nice game but problems
This is a great game don’t get me wrong but all the characters are kind of the same for example Rogar and the yellow one of him. (Sorry I cant think of his name right now) Both of them have the same abilities and look the same . It seems that you guys have run out of ideas for new characters. You guys also haven’t done a lot with the campaign it’s been the same since the game kinda started. All in all it’s a great games but if you guys could get more ideas (for example you could add a character that rides like a hog or horse and then once the rider dies it’s up to the horse and the rest of the team.) I don’t know that’s just what I thought and the game gets boring after time because of things like no new campaign and the same ideas for characters just one is water and the other is fire. Love this game! Few kinks though...
This game is by far one of my favorite games to play on mobile! Whenever I open my phone, Dungeon Boss is one of the first things I open. Have I raided these dungeons yet? Have I collected my daily reward? Have I opened the great portal? Have I upgraded my heroes? There’s just so much to do! With barely any ads that are optional! It’s incredible! The ONLY thing keeping this from being five stars is a lot of the time I’ll be buying stuff when it tells me “Out of Sync” and I lose my stuff and the gems I spent! Like this just happened with my Jerry tokens... I had spent a bunch of gems on Healer Jerry Tokens when it told me “Out of Sync”, so I reloaded and had lost the gems I spent but didn’t have the Jerry tokens! I also lost the quest reward for having 2 6star heroes... but yeah! Other than that kind of really annoying kink I love this game!

Nice place to visit, not to live in
I’ll be honest, I spend hours each day playing it, and am high level. It’s probably one of the nicest games of this type developed. It’s fun
But, if you get high enough level, spend enough time, it becomes apparent the heart of this game is gone. It’s the embers of a cash cow, sold to a cut rate business.
The hard core player community is resigned to this, and work around the unfixed bugs, the unbalanced play ( due to new hero’s being added to try to get more dollars out of people) and the outrageous cash grabs. The events are repeated over and over again. It’s a game frozen in time, with an icing of greed and low budget maintenance . But, it’s really hard for new players to see the rot and mismanagement. The game is so awesome that one will have to spend a lot of hours , maybe hundreds, before things become clear about all of this.
And that is the reason of my review: the game is a nice place to visit, but not to live in.
The original people who developed this game are long gone, I think. I heard they used to care about the players.
There are other games out there that has a vibrant and functional player community. I feel like people who want to play this game, and are going to spend a lot of time on it, should know this.
If in doubt, or need confirmation. Just log into their discord chat and read what people are saying .

New update turns game 100% pay to progress/win
Edit: I changed my review from 1/5 to 4/5. They FINALLY listened to community and reverted the star ascension requirement. (Took long enough) it should have never EVER been a thing.

Where do I begin. One update which seemed cool for 30 minutes then you realize the things they removed from the game. Removing celestial evos from both dungeon shop and pwn shop. The removed hero tokes from there as well. You need hero STARS to ascend now (which can only be gained in a SUPER rare chance in the heroic portal).. which also takes $$$.
They took away every means possible to play for free and progress slowly. You WILL NOT progress enough to be remotely competitive any more unless you pay tens even hundreds of dollars. 100$ for a 6* hero (1 of nearly 60) on a ftp mobile game?! Seriously guys? That’s the cost of two AAA games for ONE hero... that isn’t ascended. You’ll need to pay for ascension later.

Yeah
From the for minute I started the game, to this very second, I’ve had such an incredible experience. The art style is very attention grabbing, for new players, and sets itself apart from many of the newer rpg games that have similarities to this game. The game does a good job at making so many interesting tiny Easter eggs (if you classify them as such) and details that give this quirky vibe to the game. Starting the game, there were really cool characters that were out of reach, and it was almost implied that, you could get and have fun with if you put the time into. This game does a good job to give “power” to the consumer, basically not having to pay for everything. Of course, you pay to speed up progress you will get on your own time but, it doesn’t feel like a pay wall (which many other games have) which is really nice! There’s plenty of bugs, but I think that it helps with the vibe of quirky that the game presents itself as (and devs are generous with the rewards). Basically, Dungeon Boss gives a lot while not asking much, and every time I come back, there’s something new. There’s many characters to choose from, and with their investment in creating “factional benefits” you can create cool synergies. Side note: very glad they removed star requirement for ascension (though I understood why it was placed in the first place). Just, very cool game that has gone a long way.
