Turn iPhone Duo into a Mac

What's New in DuoBook
1.1
November 5, 2026
New in DuoBook 1.1: • Touch Bar: the top row now shows controls for the app you're using on your Mac. Back and forward in Safari, play and skip in Music, slides in Keynote, bold and italic in Notes, and more. Hold fn for F1–F12. • Lock your Mac from anywhere: say "Hey Siri, lock my Mac with DuoBook", or add it to Shortcuts, the Action button, or Control Center. • Wake your Mac: DuoBook wakes a sleeping Mac on your Wi-Fi, and DuoBook Host can keep it awake while it's plugged in, or always (with the lid open). • Unlock from iPhone: when your Mac is locked, DuoBook shows its lock screen, so you can type your password and unlock it, even from far away. Connecting to a locked Mac wakes its screen. • All Displays: with more than one display, see them all side by side (⋯ → Display). • Paste now pastes on your Mac, right where the cursor is. • Copying on your Mac no longer flashes "Copied from Mac" over and over when Universal Clipboard is on. • Type with your iPhone's own keyboard: choose Keyboard → iPhone in Settings for autocorrect, swipe typing and dictation, with esc, tab, ⌃ ⌥ ⌘ and the arrow keys in a row above it. • Bigger keys: the keyboard now uses the full width in every theme. Graphite's side speakers are gone, making its keys about 19% wider. • Up to 120 fps: on Wi-Fi with a Mac and an iPhone that both do 120 Hz, the Mac's screen streams at 120 frames a second. Choose Automatic, 120, 60 or 30 in Settings or the ⋯ menu. • Smooth pointer: DuoBook draws your Mac's pointer itself, so it glides at your screen's full refresh rate and moves the moment your finger does. • The MacBook keyboard speaks your language: its keys show what they type on your Mac in any language (French, German, Russian, Arabic, Korean and more), and you can switch your Mac's keyboard language from the ⋯ menu. • Quality in the ⋯ menu: switch between Automatic, High, Balanced and Data saver while connected. Automatic now saves data on cellular and over a VPN, not just through a relay. • Full screen now fits iPhone Duo's rounded corners, centered. • The demo Mac now looks like a current Mac. • Set up another Mac right from the home screen: send DuoBook Host's link with AirDrop, or copy it. • Name your iPhone when you pair, so your Mac shows your own name instead of just "iPhone". • DuoBook Host's own menu now shows on your iPhone when you open it from there. • Easier Mac setup: DuoBook Host opens a window that walks you through its two permissions, with a button for each. • DuoBook Host shows its own icon in your Mac's menu bar. • Updates: DuoBook tells you when a new version is out, and DuoBook Host 1.1 updates itself on your Mac with one click (or Check for Updates… in its menu). If your router keeps DuoBook out when you're away, DuoBook Host now takes you to its settings and a guide.
