Best strategy game ever

Duper is way deeper than it looks. Games are fast but super strategic. it's not just about attacking, but timing, resources, and reading other players. The diplomacy part is honestly my favorite: alliances, bluffing, betrayal... it gets intense in a good way. Easy to learn, hard to master. If you like thinking instead of just grinding, this is a solid pick

Great!

This game has a lot going for it. The audio is excellent, and the voice work adds a surprising amount of charm. The gameplay itself is fun and has a strong strategic feel, with smooth animations and a solid overall design.

Fix your game

It seems like it’s a good game but the tutorial doesn’t work and glitches out after being halfway through and I can’t get to play the real game

Response from developer

This shouldn't happen. If you email support@curio.gg with a screenshot and some description, we'll help you there!

WARNING : forces you to share your location

It’s straight up creepy that a game that kids can play forces players to reveal where they are.

They say it’s for connection or whatever, but you can just select a region like in EVERY OTHER GAME.

NO reason to force players to share their location. Very creepy.

Response from developer

We check location because compliance requires us to do so, as Duper can only be played in 42 out of 50 states in the US. After you pass the check we don't save the location. Hope that helps.

Slow and cumbersome to play; lore doesn’t match the mechanics

The game takes very long and isn’t very exciting in between turns. With 5 players and 30 second timer, worst case you wait two minutes twiddling your thumbs. Would’ve been better off as a 1 on 1 duel against the other person. Exchanging cards is unique for something like this, but the mechanic and lore are a massive disconnect. Imagine your general told you he needs a pair of two to make a tank. How much sense does that make? Would it really have been hard to make 1-13 of Ore, Coal, Adamantine and Oxygen or something that fits this theme?

Response from developer

Hi there, appreciate the feedback. About waiting during other players' turns, have you tried producing/chatting/trading during that period? Because actually only attacks are limited to your turn. Long-term players actually complain that they don't have enough time overall. Regarding resources, you definitely bring up a unique perspective. We decided to use Poker cards because many people are familiar with the combinations, and given an innovative game like ours we wanted to reduce the amount of things players need to learn as much as possible. However, we will note your suggestion and consider it often in later periods of development.

It is bad

Don’t waster your time it’s just as bad as the ads look

Fun game but…

The game has great and simple mechanics, good time limit for turn based strategy, even has the dynamics needed for a 5 person war game. My only issue which kills me is as bad as I want to play the game sometimes I can’t press anything when the game starts. 2 stars for now unless this is fixed

Response from developer

Hey, sorry that you encounter this issue and we'll fix it for you in no time, though it doesn't sound like a common issue and I don't know exactly what's wrong yet based on your description. Could you join our Discord at discord.gg/duper, open a ticket, and send us a screenshot and/or a detailed description of your issue? Thanks so much!

Few suggestions

Hi there, I really like the concept of this game. I’m reading at five stars just because I don’t want to take y’all’s reviews. But I am already having some things that I would like to change about the game. The tutorial is taking way too long to get through. I think part of the reason is because of the animations. I have ADHD but love strategy games. I think that’s the niche that this game is marketing towards. So I think the animations need to be sped up and be a little more crispy. It needs to be a little more satisfying to click on each of the pieces and move them. I really like the concept here. I think it just needs a little more. I’m not sure what the word is game vacation to make it a little more satisfying to move the pieces around and keep coming back for more. Not sure if any of these suggestions will be helpful. I’d like to come back and play this game. It just seems like it’s going to be too big of a time sink waiting for the pieces to move. If you were able to get the game plus sped up some more I think I’ll find myself coming back and playing this often.

Response from developer

Hi there, glad you grokked the game, and really appreciate these feedback! Will think about the animation point. Regarding game speed, have you played a full Casual game? Because over the past few months we've actually already shortened a match from ~1 hour to ~25 mins on average, and we find most long-term players happy with the match length, because chat diplomacy takes time too. That said, team will definitely continue trying to speed up the game if we find ways to without making it less fun. If you're interested, join our Discord at discord.gg/duper to chat with team and other players and/or provide more feedback!

Very boring

Imagine a bunch of outdated games into one. Now imagine waiting for 5 other players to make their move before its your turn. Now imagine doing that like 10 times. 20 minute game that should’ve been 5.

Response from developer

Hi, sorry for this impression. Outside your turn is actually the perfect time to plan out your next moves but more importantly to chat with others, strengthen allies, conspire, etc. I gotta admit though that our current Beginner Journey and UI/UX doesn't teach the importance of diplomacy as effectively as we wanted to yet, and we're working on improving it. If you're still interested in playing, try chatting up some players after you trade with them in your next Casual game! You may be surprised to find yourself in a completely different game, one where there's as much social trickery as unit strategy.

Cool new game.

The sign up process was smooth and easy to complete. I’m a huge fan of strategy and RTS games Duper definitely combines both those elements in a fun way.

SO fun and SO much money

Wow, never have I thought you could earn money by playing mobile games! This is next level.

Response from developer

Yes, and you must've gotten pretty good at the game :) We intentionally designed Duper so that it's playable for free but noticeably more fun when played for real money, even just a small amount like $2.

Incredible game!

Incredible

—> Duper <— The Game 📲

I found the game very interesting to play as it helps develop memory and mental agility skills. The interface is easy to use, and it’s definitely entertaining. 🙌🏻

Response from developer

As some of our long-time players like to say, Duper is "eradicating brainrot for the younger generation" 😆 Glad you like the game!

Strategic Version of Battleship

Overall, the game was intriguing and something I’d like to continue to play and learn. I felt the instructions confusing in the first level, but was quickly able to adapt and understand after the seconds it almost felt like a similar variety of game to online battleship (combined with cards) in which you could see your opponents and knew who to attack. I’ll definitely continue to play and invite some friends so I can battle it out with others to see which one of us can be most successful. It is a strategic and interactive game (my favorite kind).

Also, signup was free and easy to begin! Always a plus.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! I can see the similarity to Battleship, and indeed Duper is a great game to play with friends (although we'll see if they remain friends after you backstab them too often 🤫)

Very fun and interactive

Easy to download and interactive tutorial that made game play easy to understand and navigate. Very fun to build your infantry & watch them perform your moves. 10/10 recommend. I played the casual game & loved it.

Amazing Strategic Game with Stunning Graphics

This game is awesome with amazing graphics and a powerful strategic style. Everything works smoothly, including logging in and connecting accounts. On my iPhone 16 Pro Max it runs well, though sometimes a bit slow and the loading page can take longer after restarting. On my older iPhone Xs, the game is slower and occasionally gets stuck on the loading screen. Still, overall, it's a great experience and one of the best games I've played. Highly recommend!

Challenging but awesome

This game surprised me. It’s a mix of strategic war games and social trickery. It takes a little bit to learn but very addicting after that.
