Awesome App

I have been using this app for about two years, possibly more. During that time, Dupscore has improved with every release. Sandy Cureton is very responsive to suggestions from her user base and implements all of our ideas as quickly as she can. It is very easy to use, especially considering all the functionality she has built into it. The latest release includes table scoring, which comes at a time when the handwriting on the travelers at my club are becoming increasingly illegible. I recommend this app for anyone who has to score a Bridge game.

ACBL has no App for scoring games on OS or iOS. DupScore saved the day. It is identical to the ACBL Windows app. It is awesome, easy to use and comprehensive. I am thrilled with DupScore App.

Much improved, great to use

Recent update made it a vastly better process to add a match. It is now very intuitive. Very easy to use the app now. Can’t detect any noticeable bugs.

Would request 2 things:
1. an FAQ page covering how scoring happens, and what happens when tables have opposing bid wins. Example - if E/W on one table wins the bid, and makes it, why does N/S on the other table get a point even if they go down.

2. The ability to change the table rotations after scoring has been entered, then rescore the play automatically. Currently have to rebuild and rescore the match from scratch.

Great suggestions. I will add FAQ as you suggest. Short answer on the specific question is that in Duplicate, going down and losing less than your opponents would have made had they won the auction, is better. So if a board is played three times, Teams 1, bids 3H and makes 3, Team 2, bids 3H and makes 4, but the third time the board is played, NS bids 3S, wins the auction, and goes down 1, for a -50. Team 1 EW has 140, Team 2 EW has 170, and Team 3 EW has 50. For EW Team 2 gets 2 points(High Board) - the opponent NS team gets 0 points - they lost the most Team 1 EW gets 1 point (Middle Board) - the opposing NS team will get 1 point also, and Team 3 EW will have 0 (low board) as they scored the least points - the opposing NS team will earn 2 points(High Board NS) because they lost the least points. so they have 0 (low Board). Hope that helps. Changing the rotation after scoring has begun is more problematic, but we will investigate. Thanks for your feedback.

Simple To Use & Powerful App

Finding this scoring app for Apple devices has been a huge benefit to our seniors’ duplicate club. The program roots out any scoring errors entered on the travelers that went unnoticed when scoring by hand. It takes so little time to finalize match results and to email them to our players. Her version updates get better and better each time. Many thanks!

I have watched this program change and improve over time. v3.1.3 is the best so far, but I anticipate further improvements and refinements. I like that it works on my IOS devices AND my M1 Mac great. Responsive developer is a plus.

Excellent Scoring and Scheduling App

I have been working with this app to set up and score our weekly duplicate games and I am a big fan. It is intuitive and easy to use, the developer offers real-time help when I occasionally do have a question, and constantly adds improvements to make things even better. The scoring program is easy to use, catches wrong entries, and provides excellent statistics about the bidding and playing. Our players constantly comment about how much they like the printout and stat information, Highly recommended for Duplicate Club Scoring!

Great!

I have been looking for some time now for a simple to use scoring app for our small bridge club. I have used this great little app for the past few weeks and it has worked very well indeed. So much more accurate and stress free compared to scoring by hand. The ability to email the results and scoring summary to all the players is so appreciated.

Soooo easy to use!

Our individual rotation group of 12 relies totally on this App for scoring. It is easy to learn and to use and has helped players understand the scoring system. The printout of the results are spectacular—our players love to peruse them. I have also used it with 8 players and 3 boards. A true game changer for those who do the scoring! (Update of latest launch, February 16, 2023)

I have a new iPhone 14 and this program is worse than useless because of all the time you will waste trying to get it set up. Impossible.

ElaineKay, thanks for bringing your experience to my attention. The application can be used without setting up any players, and only a name is require for a club. The Info option of the updated 2.1 release has a link to information about how to create a club on you iPhone and immediately set up a match. If you don't want names associated with your player numbers, you need only select the number of players, the type of game and boards per round to start a match and begin scoring. You are welcome Email or call me directly anytime with questions or suggestions.

Scoring entry doesn’t work

I have a 4 table pairs game and this app sets up the order of play correctly. But when I try to enter scores, the correct players for each board do not come up as options. Help!! Our small duplicate bridge group needs this app!

Sue, This problem has been corrected in the current release. In addition to correcting the problem with pairs game types, additional numbers of players are now supported, and additional error checking and information messages are added. You can also now print.
