Unplayable
The game has its quirks and problems with motion tracking, but the current situation makes the game unplayable. At least in the ad supported version. There has been an update to how the ads are served and currently they arrive with no time out and with no close or exit choice. Essentially your game is frozen as is your window, such that the only way to get your device functioning again is to quit the game. Typically this happens after the second or third round - meaning that quitting causes the game you were playing to be erased. Maybe this will get fixed. Until then don’t bother, you will just be annoyed.

Good but too easy
Even advanced level is too easy..
Lord knows I love this game but…
It is GLITCHY as heck. Cards get stuck so you can’t work through your pile, connections drop, and the worst yet: I just had a round go 15+ MINUTES (for one round, not the whole game) where we were completely gridlocked- I watched every players flips. There were a few cards that “could be played,” but nothing that lead to an end game. Just… continued… shuffling… my rank feels absolutely tanked from this obviously, but I hoped there was an end in sight.
I really wish multiplayer let you play with people you don’t know. That would be super fun. I feel like $10/mo is a little wild of a price, it’d be cool if buying the physical game gave you a code or something for the subscription? I love Dutch Blitz and play all the time on the app and with friends IRL, have given it as gifts, and will continue to play- but the app is absolutely a side-project that needs some LOVE. Also it blocks other app’s audio, so you can’t vibe out with an audiobook and play Dutch Blitz at the same time :( please make improvements, devs, please!

Favorite game
My wife turned me onto this game years ago. We’ve played it with countless friends since. Just learned there’s an app version and now we’re obsessed again.
Multi-player mode is buggy
I was really excited for the multiplayer mode! but it is clearly not ready for primetime. It lets 2 players play the same card, sometimes won’t allow the winning player to end the game by getting through their blitz pile and (by being in the same room as another player) I was able to confirm that it does not show your opponents cards accurately. Plus, sometimes the color of the cards just seems to randomly change on the board. It’s unfortunate because it makes me not want to trust this app. please QA this feature before releasing it. This screams robot built this and no one tested it.

Big fan but a few glitches!
I love this game and the app is awesome! My only feedback is there are two frequent glitches I would love to see resolved. 1. When I go to place a card it doesn’t take and goes back to me. 2. My blitz pile keeps getting frozen where it can’t be moved over to my playing area or played + then cards in my playing area will get stuck or just disappear. Hopefully these can be solved because it’s a fantastic game and the app is great otherwise!

Need better multiplayer
Needs public lobbies for multiplayer rather than just with friends
Game is so fun!
This game is such an easy and fun game to play. However, the app itself has a few glitches. One major one being, if I click my draw pile before my three have flipped the game freezes and I’m unable to play.
Love! Multiplayer needs help
I love this game, but there are pretty consistent bugs playing online right now even with someone in same room. Blitzes fail to end the round, piles not updating, etc. it was working great a few weeks ago, but recent updates have had more bugs. :(

I am bored of winning
It took me a game or two to get used to placing a card with my finger instead of diving across a table. But once I got the hang of it I just kept winning. I changed the difficulty to intermediate and I won again, so I changed it to Advanced and I just keep winning.
I keep playing thinking maybe this time will be different and I will actually feel challenged, but then I win again.
I love that it is a mostly free way to play the game and I love that it was turned into an app but please make it more challenging.

Good but isolating
The app functions great and i love the game, but it’s annoying that you can’t listen to any music on the device while using the app, and if you close the app at any point during the game (even between rounds) it resets.
Ad banner won’t close
Five stars for me until recently. Can play only three rounds on the free version. Then ad pops up, which is fine, but will not close. Am forced to close app. Have been playing the free version with ads for several years and never had any issue until the last update.
Ads with no close function
I’ve been loving this game, but the latest ads from starlink don’t have a “close” button, so if that ad pops up, I can’t play. Please fix!
Fun but needs work
Very fun and addicting but there are some glitches that make it a little frustrating when it comes to the UI. Sometimes the pile gets stuck on one card and you can’t do anything but flip through thr whole deck for it to reset. Other times it never resets. Sometimes when you add a card to a pile it doesn’t stick…. So yeah, that’s super annoying when it comes to actual gameplay.

Ads keep making app crash
Game is great. But playing experience is awful. One ad keeps freezing the app, always need to close and reopen.
Love the new multiplayer update, but it needs some work
My family loves to play the physical card game. So when we saw there was an app it was a no brainer. The solo mode works well and is enjoyable to play. Then came the online multiplayer. Initially we were ecstatic! Then we saw it required a subscription :( however, the first 7 days were free, so what the heck? I’d say it plays well 85% of the time. There are definitely some bugs, such as not having post piles show up, or not being able to move any cards, or the wood pile glitching out, or it not ending the round when someone was out in their blitz pile. Furthermore, it kept kicking members of the game out in the lobby when we played it at the full 4 player count.
Additionally, it would be nice to see an expansion update to allow up to 8 (though im sure this is a pipe dream). Ultimately the app works well and we enjoy it but the multiplayer is still rough around the edges at times. I didn’t see anywhere to report bugs, so I hope the developers see this!
