Very good app for movies collection
I really like the fact that you can pay a lifetime license and not using subscription! You can create your own tags(providers) so if you own a title on dvd and 4k you don’t need 2 entries. Barcode scanner won’t always work on 4k movies but the search is fast and easy to use. User interface is easy to use and it’s a good looking app.

EZ Organization
Movie Miner is hands down a DVD collectors best friend. I was able to catalog my movie collection (400 dvds) in under 30 mins!!! Also the app is FREE
Upping my rating, Somewhat better than I thought
Barcode scanning does not do batch scanning, but does work for about 60% or movies. Manual lookup by Title works every time. Cannot determine format from barcode. Seems more geared toward streaming services than physical media though it does work with discs. Nice look though once you have input your library. Handles Shows as one item not 7 seasons individually. Cannot list 2 of the same item separately. But can list multiple formats for the same item.

Good app for cataloging your DVDs/Blu Rays
App organises your film collection very well. It doesn’t recognise all bar codes but it is easy to input the films manually.
Ads are inappropriate
The app is fantastic! However, when I go to look at my collection, the ads at the bottom appear to be advertising porn. Very sad that I won’t be able to use this app.

Very disappointed not easy to scan and some movies don’t even register, what’s the go 😡
Great App
The Movie Miner.It works flawlessly finds all the movies either with the barcode or searching and it’s not failed yet. I’m finding even with the ads it’s not really taking anything away from the app. If you want to go and get rid of the answers, I don’t think it’s too expensive. hence the five stars.

Good, but needs one more feature
Please add the ability to edit the month and day of the release date and not just the year! Sorting only by year puts some releases out of order.

Hello pizzadog38, thank you for your feedback . For movies added through the search the actual date of release is taken into account when sorting. But you are right, the user can only edit the year. We will be working on it. Enjoy your movie collection.
This app is amazing!!!
I’ve been wanting an app to help me organize, track and categorize the DVDs I own. And I downloaded this app as a last resort from trying many apps with pay walls or movie limits. I started using Movie Miner with no expectations because it doesn’t have many reviews. And I am genuinely so impressed with it! I love how it feels like my own personal streaming service. It’s so easy to use, well laid out and has a smooth running system. I love the back up and export option as I am working on a back up spreadsheet as well.
It’s hands down the best app I have used in a while and the extra bonus is that it’s free to use! (Fingers crossed it stays that way).

Excellent free unlimited app - no ads

It’s free, I can store unlimited DVDs, it scans bar codes, add your own tags (I use mine to say which box they are in), search by title, actor and genre (already there when you add a dvd).
So why only a four, well it’s not a fully populated database, but if you are prepared to click the report and give more info button then the developer can fix.
I reported one to see if they paid attention, a response by the next day and added to the database, so I have reported every one I have found so far.
Next draw back, but again developer responded to my email question, currently can’t share this across my own devices or with my partner BUT they gave me a work around using a backup file…it worked.
List is full exportable as csv or pdf, I haven’t tried csv but the PDF worked really well.
To the developer, keep up the excellent work. I love the tip jar idea and I will drop something in it.
