I Love this App BUT ……
The app is great truly but it’s hard listen to. Let me explain. All the voices are wonderful but it’s hard to stay engaged because they all sound like they are trying to sound wonderful instead of reading a story. Their tone never changes. If they read more like reading a story with changes in tone and inflection and a change in emotion it would be so much more engaging. Imagine how much more impactful if when King Saul is angry the reader was angry or when Jesus was angry and turning up tables the reader sounded angry!! To read with the emotions of the story would not only help the listener to really understand the gravity of the particular part of the Bible being read but would almost certainly keep them engaged longer. But that’s just my opinion.

Amazing
I’m 55 and I’ve never once read the Bible in my entire life. I’ve been using this app for just a little over 2 months and it has changed me spiritually forever. I’ve listened to both the old and new testaments twice now and I’ve read much of it as well. This app is so easy to navigate from book to book, easier than flipping through pages while at church. I love the background music. It has a feature to switch off the audio reading and just have the music playing. Many times I play just the music while I’m praying or just sitting still in God’s presence. You don’t always have to listen directly from scripture either. The Daily Essentials and Devotionals have amazing prayers as well. I hope this app finds many more non-believers and impacts them the way it has for me. God bless the creators and users of this app. I pray it continues to improve.

Just to read, I need to pay first? Only Genesis and Matthew are free. It’s a shame. And you talk about blessing people.

Developing Consistency
Using the Dwell Audio Bible has helped me grow in consistency in reading my Bible! The ability to create playlists has also given me creative ways to participate in Bible studies.
More than just an audiobook bible
The app contains different translations of the bible that are narrated. You’ll be able to find one that you like. My favorite part is the music and the daily/nightly check ins. This app feels like headspace but with daily devotionals. You can also listen to the music on its own for studying or praying. The app feels polished. Give it a shot.

You guys are the MODEL for how all Dev Teams should be! You keep making the app better and better by adding more and better features. The latest one being adding the “Music” only feature so we can listen to beautiful music while we read the Bible or pray or meditate on the Word. Excellent App
This app is everything I was looking for in an audio bible app. I have experienced it evolving over time to add aspects that I have hoped for such as customized playlists.
My hope is that the Amplified Bible which is my favorite Bible translation will be added. I have been inquiring about this translation for 5 years now and I am starting to lose hope that it will be added. 🥺
So many features have been added but I really hope they increase the number of Bible translations and include the Amplified Bible soon.

Some writers use ChatGPT
I love the this app and some of the devo writers do an amazing job. However, please make it a rule that your writers are not allowed to use AI. We want human voices led by the Holy Spirit, not a robot. That said, some do not and those are fantastic. Thanks for your ministry.
