Do not buy
Do not buy. It’s literally my biggest regret of a purchase. I have never written a review before but I’m literally writing one right now because of how upset I am about the scanner to text not working. That’s the whole reason why I bought the app, and the one feature I wanted to work did not work at all.
DO NOT GET THIS APP.

Hello Suppppw, I'm sorry to hear this — especially since this is your first review ever, I know something really went wrong. I'd like to understand exactly what happened so I can improve it. On the scan: text getting mixed up or reordered usually comes from the photo angle, lighting, or a curved page, but if it happened consistently for you, I'd like to look into it properly. Could you reach out through the in-app support (Settings > Contact) with a couple of the photos you used? That will help me see exactly why the recognition failed on your textbook. On the pricing: you're right, there's no free trial on the yearly plan. I understand the weekly price display made that less clear upfront — that's useful feedback, and I'd like to know what would have made it clearer for you before you purchased. Thank you for taking the time to write this, even though it was out of frustration — it genuinely helps me improve the app. Michaël

Hello longtalk, Thank you for sharing that — knowing this font has been with you through school and your career is exactly why I built it. Really appreciate you taking the time to write this. Michaël

Hello Doug Notfunnyatall, I want to be clear about what OpenDyslexic actually does, because I think that's the root of the frustration: it can't replace your iPhone/iPad's system font everywhere — iOS doesn't allow third-party apps to do that. What it does is let you use the OpenDyslexic font inside a specific set of apps (Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Office 365), inside this app itself for writing text or generating images, and in Safari via the built-in extension (enable it in Settings > Safari > Extensions > OpenDyslexic). You can also import or scan PDFs and documents right in the app — it runs OCR to bring the text into OpenDyslexic automatically, for free. I'm sorry the scope wasn't clear before you bought it — that's genuinely useful feedback, and I want the store listing to make this clearer. Michaël
Thank you!
Finally!!!!

Hello Majo1969, Thank you for sharing something so personal — I'm really moved that seeing this font helped you understand something about yourself after all these years. I'm glad you found it, even later than you'd have liked. Michaël
Does not work outside of the app
Game changer!

Great idea
Great for iPhones, not great for Mac
I have therefore asked for a refund on this product as I can't use it how I had intended
