Looks great but sources need to be improved. Eg 120 says itβs dangerous based on a hyperactive kids support group! What??!

Really donβt like the update, I used this app to quickly search if something was vegan/plant based and could do so at a glance - now have to read all the info βΉοΈ
Missing info
Good app, excellent layout, easy to find an item, but the info for most of the additives are incomplete! For example:
Titanium Dioxide
"Functions: Whitening agent in toothpaste, surface coating and also to help"
HELP WHAT?!?! That's how the sentence ends! Most of the additives I browsed end like this. Please fix this!!!
Similar apps have more info, but I'm sticking with this one in the hopes that this problem will be fixed because I like the design overall.

Used to be useful
This used to be a great little app: not much details but good for quickly looking up things. Then in the last version, it crashed when you tried to do the quick scroll. Now it just crashes whenever I open it. Really disappointed and frustrated.

App crashes when you try to use alpha/numerical index on the side. Otherwise great. Easy to use, and clear relevant info.

App Shows know toxic chemicals as safe?
Diacetyl a additive to dairy and butter flavoring in popcorn is listed as a safe additive? It's list on USDA as unsafe to breath and more....??????? App must be designed by Major Food Conpanies and or Chemical Distributers....
Very pleased to find this app!
My family has food sensitivities and this is a great resource for us. Very simple, practical and intuitive layout. I wish all parents had access to this app, so they could better understand what they are feeding their children. I would suggest refining it a bit - based on the studies I've read, MSG should be in the red zone, both forms of Aspartame should be listed as red/unsafe, and all of the sugar alcohols can cause digestive problems (erythritol to a lesser degree).

Has a detailed information for each additive such as risks, effects etc.
The colour of food
Nice app with good description and search function. May wish to include Chem formulas as an add on later ?
One of the better E number food apps and currently it is probably the best app for the price.
Selectable categories are limited to numerical and alphabetical, so there are none for vegetarian or preservatives and so on.
Colour coding and graphics are nice and fit well, though very minimal. The bacteria icon could do with redesigning, as it looks closer to someone with their mouth open than to anything recognisable as bacteria.
No notes or save option, although it does remember, or not delete, the last entry.
Not as visually-based as "Food Additives" or "Foodditives" apps, although a little better designed and with a search feature over the former.
Useless About button, although a nice photo (screenshot 5).
Far too easy to accidentally change the colour rating of the E numbers; when the list comes up it always appears with a very large way to change the setting at a touch. If you as much as touch it, a tick or red delete cross appears(screenshot 3 and 4), which is a bit ambiguous when you are rushing about shopping. Personally, I never want to risk changing one unless I intentionally press a button labelled EDIT and I think this is a major design fault.
No UK/USA/Euro/Australian unapproved food info - it really needs this.
Having given the above critique after having downloaded many if not most of the currently available apps, this remains one the best for the money in terms of functionality, clarity, ease of use and amount of info, bettered only by the more expensive "Foodditives".
