E-Wire Calc 2.0 — completely rebuilt from the ground up. The whole app has been rewritten to make selecting the right enamelled wire faster, clearer and much more comfortable to use. WHAT'S NEW • All-new interface: the old segmented dial is gone. Every calculation now lives in a clean, scrollable card with large, easy-to-read values. • Choose your own layout: enable only the calculations you need — Diameter / AWG / Inch, Resistance, Sizes, Breakdown Voltage, Max. Winding Tension, Outer Diameter Tolerance — and see all of them at once, updating live as you type. • Precise diameter entry: a new ruler-style spinner with selectable step size (0.001 / 0.01 / 0.02) plus a built-in numeric keypad for exact input. • Min / nom / max at a glance: resistance and tolerances are shown on a visual scale, with the selected metal and the applied standard right next to the result. • 25 metals and alloys: Cu, Al, Ag99.99, CCA and HTCCA grades, CuSn, CuNi, CuMg, Ms70, silver-plated copper and brass, plus the tension-optimised wires RCW, ITW, HTW, SHTW, XHTW and EHTW. • Built-in help: tap the info icon on any card to learn what the calculation does. • Make it yours: light and dark mode, adjustable font size, default metal and standard. • 8 languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Japanese and Chinese. • Designed for every screen: responsive layout for iPhone and iPad in portrait and landscape, with side navigation on larger displays. • Your settings and last entries are restored the next time you open the app. Because this is a full rewrite, please make sure to check your saved settings once after updating.
