Great App

Really helped me with ear training.

An error?????

Isn’t 1st inversion of diminished triad 1-b3-6 (instead of b6 as in the app)??????

Many chord voicing are too low and muddy

Many of the examples are played in a register of the piano that is too low for practical use. You don’t voice chords that low - too muddy. Maybe it could possibly be OK on an ultra-high end stereo, but definitely not on ear-buds.

If this gets fixed it’s 10 stars!

Great

Exactly what I needed! The perfect aid to review my aural skills class

So versatile and thorough!

I’m really picky with music related things, and I searched and tried a lot of apps before sticking with this one.
The exercises do a fantastic job incrementing your abilities, and the custom exercise feature is exactly what I was hoping it would be, great for extra challenging rounds and working through personal areas of difficulty.
The range of problems is also amazing, leading you from intervals all the way through complex jazz chords!
This is the only app of its kind. Period. Nothing else I’ve tried compares.

This is THE ear training app!

AMAZING

AMAZING! Really helps me study my aural skills for music education!

Great App!

I am a self-taught musician and I just started ear training. I have downloaded several apps for this purpose and EarBeater is, by far, the best I have found for the iPhone. It is well worth the money!

Very helpful

I really like this app so far. I haven't had too much time to use it, but it's definitely worth paying for this. The exercises are very effective drills and are very practical to use. I like that the intervals/chords they give you to compare don't start on the same note--makes it more about the actual training than just comparing notes.

Great app!

Just used a few times but it seems pretty useful. I like it!

Very General

I was hoping there would be scale identifying exercises where it presents me with a scale and I would have select which note the scale is in. All it does is make you identify what type of scale it is in like major or minor... etc but I need specific notes. Same with chords if I'm given a chord I want to state which exact chord it is. Being general doesn't really help me that much

Ears are Better!

This is the best app I've found for ear training imo. Very simple and straightforward interface without having to go through alot of menus or anything. I almost exclusively use it for intervals and it does everything I need it to do

Love it!

I use this during spare time and I love it!

Awesome App

This app is really helping me. I love the control I have in choosing lessons. Nice, well-thought out progression of lessons! The progression is slow and thorough, but you can jump around when you want to different exercises or kinds of exercises. Clear tones and useful exercises. Good correction, so you can hear what you missed several times if you want before moving on. A+
