Earnings Season User Reviews

Extremely disappointing.

This app is disappointing at best. I've been waiting since yesterday for the app to update the earning results and still hasn't, I had to resort to Google in order to know, unfortunately this defeats the purpose because I'm paying exactly to know these things on time.

No forgot password

There is no way out of login screen if you don’t remember password. I had to reinstall the app to see earnings screen again. It is not a good experience for paid app

I’ve already started working on removing accounts and passwords in general. With Biometrics available on all iOS devices, and things like Sign In with Apple now available, I’d rather do away with accounts and passwords all together. Hence, why I never added password reset. No sense adding that when the better approach is not having to deal with passwords. Especially when at most, I might get few emails throughout the year asking to reset a users password for them. With my limited time, I’d rather focus on something that benefits all users (supporting the latest and greatest OS and phone updates from Apple, adding new features, etc) than something that <0.5% of the user base would ever use. I would also recommend using a password manager like 1Password and generating unique and long, secure password strings. I’ve been using 1Password for almost a decade now. Apple also has a free and built in password manager right into iOS itself that will generate and maintain secure passwords for each individual website and service. This day and age, I’m still surprised by how many people are still manually creating and maintaining passwords (or worse, using the same password for every website over and over), instead of just using a good password manager and maintaining peace of mind.

I believe this individual had emailed me regarding this. For some reason it was sent to my personal email address instead of the app support email, which ended up in my junk mail inbox and thus I never saw it until much later. If this is the same individual, they had mentioned that they got signed out but never created an account. The app offers the ability for users to bypass account creation. My thinking here was if someone wants to try out the app quickly, or they don't want to provide an email address, then they can create an "anonymous" account in those circumstances. No user data would be captured or saved, and would be privacy focused. I believe that is what this individual did. They skipped the sign up process, never made an account, and somehow got signed out of their account. They were not able to login because they never had an account. And there's no way to reset a password in that case because the account is essentially anonymous and there is no way to identify it. If you download the app, by all means feel free to skip the account creation process and give the app a try. Should you decide you enjoy using the app and want to continue using it, then I would recommend you go to the "More" tab where you will find a "Sign Up" option. This will allow you to convert your "anonymous" account into a regular account. This way, should you ever get a new device, or happened to get logged out for some reason, you will be able to log back in and see your watchlist data again. I've already done some server side updates to help ensure anonymous accounts are never logged out. However, I think in a future update I will eliminate anonymous accounts all together as it seems to be a source of some confusion. And instead, replace accounts with Sign in with Apple or just save user watchlists on iCloud.

Must have App - if you want an edge

I have record breaking high triple digit return in 2020 and a Champion trader in legendary competition USIC 2020 (United States Investing Championship). This app is a must

It solves my problem of hunting earnings on multiple websites and even seeing what the estimates are. There are times I have to reduce position going into earnings and other times ride the earnings. This app helps me in executing my trading plan in an ultra efficient manner. Time is money here, if I can save time by quick search or even glancing on what earning season is ahead of me. It helps me plan and that in turn helps me to have an edge.

For further enhancing your edge - look at the list that the dev has created in the app. Wow!!! We have list like highly ranked biotech stocks for the upcoming earning week etc.

This app is $3 bucks per month or $30 / year. Omg that is insane deal to have this data. Sure you can get most of it free but you not getting value by looking all over the place. This is One app to go to and keep things super focused. I am willing to spend few $$$ for this data and this is absolute bargain.

If you want to make multiples of % gains in your portfolio then get this app.

Thanks Dev (hint for the dev - we spoke in the Monkey’s Den)

Thanks for reaching out! And congratulations on the great returns you put up last year. Some of the returns folks put up in the competition this past year were incredible. I finished up in 16th place in the competition, will look to do better this year. Hopefully we have another great year. And thanks again for your feedback, I'll go and add in some more of the sector lists to the app that you were looking for as well. With all the lists and screens in the app, we will be ready for when the next True Market Leader reveals itself! Best returns to you in 2021.

Expensive for what you get

This app is designed well but doesn’t offer that much for the subscription price. Other app that are competitively priced offer much more than just earnings dates. This app doesn’t even have charts!

Response from developer

I remember when my broker used to charge me $4.95, $9.95, $14.95 and $29.95 commission per single trade. But $2.99 is expensive? I’m also not sure what you mean when you say “This app doesn’t even have charts!”. Anyone can take a look at the screenshots provided on the App Store page and see the charts. Did you somehow miss those? First there’s the chart of the Number of Stocks Reporting by Day. I wanted a chart to visualize when earnings season is heating up. I then implemented it such that tapping on a day in the chart will then list all the companies that are reporting for that specific day. Then there’s the Quarterly EPS chart in the app. When it comes to earnings season, this is chart that matters most to me, everything else is just noise. When I’m on the hunt looking for the next True Market Leader, I’m looking for stocks showing huge increases in EPS, the bigger the better. And most importantly, I want to see the earnings growth accelerating. With a quick swipe on the row in the list, I can quickly see this EPS chart and visualize the earnings growth very quickly. If you were to look at a model book stock study—or say the top 25 biggest winners over the last 20 to 30 years—many of these stocks showed earnings growth in excess of 70% in the quarter in which the stock began to break out. And many of those were showing triple digit EPS growth. And then there’s the Noteworthy Stock screen where literally every single stock highlighted on that screen has a weekly chart associated with it. Along with the stock chart, each stock on the Noteworthy screen has a “Date Published” at the bottom of the report. When you take a look at some of the moves these stocks have made since the date I’ve first published their reports, to where they eventually topped out… ZM: +303% NET: +278% DOCU: +267% SNAP: +256% TWLO: +230% TSLA: +183% CHWY: +170% IPHI: +141% One can see based on those returns, that this screen alone is worth the $2.99 and easily pays for itself. Especially when there are services charging $100+ per month for similar reports. With that said, with the next update this screen will also move behind the subscription paywall.

Best app for tracking earnings..

tried few other apps, but this is the best value for the price with options to sort upcoming earnings in watch list by date, name and date, UI is sleek and easy to use 👍

G

Good. But I wish there was a way to look at earning for the next couple months without searching there symbols

Response from developer

If you rotate your phone into landscape orientation from any stock list screen, you will be able to view Earnings by Day up to the end of the year. If any company has earnings scheduled for a particular day, you can then tap on that day and see the full list. On the “My Stocks” stocks screen there is also a Date tab where you can view your watchlist on a calendar view. Hopefully that helps and is what you were looking for.

Must have app for options trading

This app is exactly what I needed for trading options and doing earnings play. Don't know why it's not rated more than 4.0. I paid for the extra features as well.

Response from developer

Thank you for your kind words and support. I have a big To Do list of features and requests from the folks I trade with still to implement, that I hope will also benefit your trading. Best of luck and best returns to you this upcoming earnings season.

Badly needed

Have been struggling to find a solution to this and this fit my needs perfectly

So far so good

Looks like a great App so far, in particular the noteworthy section.

What’s a bit confusing is what is unlocked with either a tip or a subscription. Perhaps the developer could elaborate?

Response from developer

The data subscription unlocks unlimited earnings dates lookups, the ability to create and save your personal watchlist, and unlocks the Today Widget, so that you can view your custom watchlist from the iPhone lock screen. I will also be adding new features in upcoming updates that will be included with that membership. For those kind enough to leave a tip in the tip jar, alternate app icons will be unlocked with those. I’m always interested in hearing how other traders are managing their positions during earnings season, so if you have any other feature requests that would help you, please email me anytime and let me know; I’ll look to add them to the app as soon as possible for you. Best Returns, John

Total game changer

This app just made searching for and organizing earnings dates so much easier!
