Earthquakes: Tracker & Alerts

What's new: • Favorites — star an earthquake and it stays in the new Favorites tab. It survives a refresh, and clearing the cache too. • A redesigned list — every earthquake is now a card coloured by its magnitude, with the country flag, depth, time and distance at a glance. Days are separated by headers. • Aftershocks are grouped under their mainshock. One card instead of hundreds of rows; tap to open the sequence. • A plain-language line on the detail screen: "Shallow and strong — likely felt widely." It says what the magnitude and depth actually mean. • Magnitude (3+ / 4+ / 5+ / 6+) and time (today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days) filters on the map. It downloads the older data when it needs to. • Apple Watch app — recent earthquakes on your wrist, strongest first. It fetches on its own, so it works without your iPhone nearby. • Fault lines and plate boundaries as map layers; satellite and hybrid styles, pan and zoom, + / − buttons and a full-screen map. • Now runs on iOS 17, so more iPhones are supported.
