Does not work properly

I have not a moment to take a breath and the app switches to spelling the first word i said. If i say something continuously without pause to breathe, like a robot it will work, but if i stop for a second the app switches to the spelled written version. I have to go back and forth. I think slow and need to think before i speak, This app gives you zero time to stop and ruminate. Sorry, impractical.

No relation to dyslexia

The description made this app sound great but all it is is a voice activated dictionary. Will be handy to get spellings when your stuck but will not help you learn them. Handy spell checker but nothing more than that.

Does not work

I purchased this app for my son and it does not work. I’ve tried different days for over a week checked the settings and followed the instructions and still nothing.

Very good!

I have not stumped this app on words i had no idea how to spell. The best part is that you can copy the word from the app and past it anywhere you like eliminating typing errors. This is the 1st app that I have ever reviewed and I have used many apps and computer programs for many years.

Hello, please make sure your microphone is turned on and you have network connectivity or Wi-Fi connected. To turn on microphone close the app and select the device Settings icon (iPhone or iPad). Scroll down and locate and select Dyslexia Aid and turn Microphone and Cellular Data on. If you require further assistance please call our website support number or kindly email us. Thank you.

Doesn’t work

I purchased the spelling App “Easy Spelling” and it works fine. This App “Dyslexia Aid” doesn’t. It seems to be missing the bottom left icon (arrow) that the other app has that allows you to see what you say.....Any thoughts.?.. My software is updated and I removed and added App again with no success. Thanks.

Hello, the history log option is not available on Easy Dyslexia Aid, only Easy Spelling Aid. We may include the history option in a future update release. Thank you.

Expensive colour overlay and dictation

App doesn’t apply colour to any other screen, nor does it speak the word back, as it states it is meant to.. the “speech”. Button doesn’t work.
I see no value of this app for my daughter..

Hello, you have the option to select the OpenDyslexic font with your choice of colour overlay. Please select option under Settings 'Select a Dyslexic Option'. Results will display the selected colour option. Please make sure your microphone is turned on and you have network connectivity or Wi-Fi connected. To turn on microphone close the app and select the device Settings icon (iPhone or iPad). Scroll down and locate and select Dyslexia Aid and turn Microphone and Cellular Data on. Works fabulously

Work just as it say and much better than any other dictation software

Really Helpful

No more asking mummy or daddy how to spell a word. Fab for my dyslexic daughter. For £1.99 it's amazing. Simple to use and seems so far to always get the word right. Love it!

Great little tool

My daughter (9) has dyslexia and dysgraphia, she really struggles in class to get written tasks done in a timely and legible manner. We have tested this app at home for homework and she is now very excited to try this out at school. It's simple to use and does what it says at a reasonable price.

Misleading

The app description would have you believe that custom colored overlays are available. None of that is true.

We apologise for the misunderstanding. The 'OpenDyslexic' font and color overlays are paired. The app supports 8 color overlays. We thank you for your feedback and we will also look at an option of including a custom color overlay palette in a future release.

We are sorry you feel that way. Easy Dyslexia Aid requires network connectivity (WiFi, 3G, 4G or GPRS) to access the speech recognition software. Once connected the app will work without any issue. Thank you for your feedback.
