Needs high Rez output
My beautiful photos from Africa are saved in low Rez so I cant print them.

No tutorials cannot see brush strokes after you change them

Still no improvements or response back from developer. We need to bring back Su Bingxi and Clever Painter. This is just a very poor cloning of that app.

There has been absolutely no improvement on the usability of this application. It has been stagnant for over a year. Developer(s) do not respond to emails. All of the issues outlined on 12 Oct 2021 still exist. It really pisses me off that Apple removed CleverPaint from the App Store which was infinitely better than this piece of trash, and allows Easy Oil Painter Pro with no obvious support remain in the app store. DO NOT BUY‼️

Trying this again since it was updated; however, now it is locked into the Help Video and there is no way to get to doing your own photos. Wish CleverPaint was back in the store. This new version is, well, worthless. 2019 ... but severely crippled in functionality compared to CleverPaint which seems to have disappeared on the App Store. It needs the following improvements: 1. Ability to zoom in and out while painting a picture. 2. Ability to select background canvases. 3. Ability to control brush transparency as well as brightness. 4. Ability to contro overall image brightness and contrast. 5. Better brush stroke selection. This ine gas a ways to go; but, I’d sure like to see it improved to be a truely great artist tool.

Can’t get past video tutorial? Try this ; after video completely plays, tap around on the background and video. At some point background will change brightness, and an arrow will appear at lower left, it’s the door into the program. Keep fiddling with it, you’ll get to the arrow. Once in, the app stays there. Worth the trouble until it fixed by the dev himself, who is certain is listening… right?
Okay, now for the review. This app is truly amazing for one dollar. Imported JPEG images come in at full resolution, and export at same full resolution. The app does not downsample your original for processing efficiency. That’s a wonderful thing if you’re looking to make large prints or canvas wraps. Big in, big out.
The wonderful beauty to the imagery it creates is that it truly separates colors from one another so that each dab looks like a different paint color, yet still blends tonality in a way it looks like real painted colors. It’s addictive, especially on flowers, scenery or portraits with serious expressions. Once you get past the hidden arrow problem, you’re gonna love this on the iPad.
Running on iPad Pro 12.9” with ipadOS 15.1, 16gb ram, there is no latency, painting is instant with no lag. If yours is running slow, maybe try importing lower resolutions.

Won’t work at all
It will not even load the app in what it loads is the app logo you open it and it’s a video on how it’s supposed to work brand new I pad says it works with this I pad nope will not
Locked up
I have been using oil painter for five months. Today it started locking up every time I selected a new brushstroke. I deleted the old app and added the pro version. Same problem.

I actually would like them if they would work. I can’t move back from adjusting paintbrushes to my painting I’m working on. Very disappointing.

Nothing
When I open the app on my iPad all I see is a blank screen... nothing. If I open it on my phone it won’t import my chosen picture. Too bad because it looks like a fun app.

For some reason nothing happens when I open the app. I looked at app support and it is in Chinese characters. Can someone assist please.

I've played with a lot of painting apps, but this one has it all....semi automatic yet you have total control over the finished product. Great application for all levels.
