No evaluation software
I heard a lot about the software, but really wanted to try it before we buy it, only Cape Town area available, we currently use Foreflight, gave Andrea a call asking for a short trial period, it is not possible, oh well, we tried, so will stick to Foreflight.....

Good app, could use a facelift
A decent app for the cost. Have found that the app sometimes crashes, can be very frustrating when you are on the Nth waypoint of many and have to start again.

Great Product - local information
I have been using Easy Cockpit since 2008 and it is still relevant when flying in an area you haven’t been before, they offer many of the local reporting points which Garmin don’t have, also all information on the smaller air fields. Makes flying safer with great local knowledge.
Still the most informative tool for RSA
I have used Easy Cockpit for many years and have found it to be a useful and confidence building navigation tool for flying in any location in RSA.
Andrea is a pleasure to deal with and I hope to see interface improvements on this great app in the years ahead!

Great info, horrible interface
By far the best app for South Africa as far as information regarding airfields, frequency’s etc are concerned.
The interface unfortunately, is not great. It is not intuitive like some of the other well known apps. To be honest, it is in desperate need of a makeover.

Brilliant tool as backup with huge amount of aids to make navigation and flight logging easier
I find the VFR references under the flight log the most useful let alone the planning to go to various remote areas

This is by far the best moving map system for iPad or laptops available in RSA. Extremely useful and great fun to fly with.

Eventually an App designed for Southern Africa with moving maps on a large iPad screen.
I flew today for the first time with it after having spend some time getting to know the features, and how well and easy it worked. The iPad EasyCockpit combo are perfect for each other.
It is the first time, while flying the "complicated" air space VFR routs under the Jhb TMA that I have been absolutely confident that I was on the right frequency at exactly the rite time. It certainly reduces the stress of airspace navigation and reporting points, allowing me to focus on flying. Thank you Easy Plan, thank you.

The best app aid for South African flying
A day late and a dollar short
What are they thinking? Released a few years too late. Garmin, Fore Flight and Jeppesen are already light years ahead in moving map apps. Can't conceive of why I would trust this clunky program in the cockpit. Would however welcome iOS versions of their airfields guide and flight planning program.

The product has a good reputation in SA , and the vendor seems to rely on this to communicate what it is the prospective buyer of the product will get once a license is purchased to activate the app - even this fact has to be deduced.The vendor web site is equally user unfriendly with little reference to the app itself and again what functionality it is the user will purchase. As a prospective buyer with no experience of the product I am confused.Not good from a prospective customer and marketing perspective....
