adding Recent searches and search in pdf comments

It is a great app but it would be better if it shows recent searches under the search box , and if it could search keywords in comments written inside comment boxes in pdfs

Great idea; bad Apple

I bought this app so I would no longer have to depend on Apple File System while I no longer wanted iCloud to have access or control over my files and documents. Wish I would have known beforehand that you can’t turn off iCloud without losing your documents / files forever…. unless you save each and every single file and move them to a separate device. Uploading to another cloud server doesn’t work either. Otherwise, you will lose all files /documents iCloud ever had access to and EasySearch will suddenly become useless. Now I Can’t open my files via EasySearch and have lost several hundreds of documents… by turning off iCloud. Somehow Apple iOS corrupts the EasySearch app in a way that it loses its incredibly fast and precise search functions and lose not only all of your important docs but all of the time it took you to create and organize the new file system created with EasySearch. Sadly not the app developer’s fault. For that you can thank Apple. 😖

Amazing App

Just wanted to say this app has been everything that Spotlight should be! Thank you so much for making this app. I can’t believe how good it is and how it makes searching 1000’s pdf so much easier!

Need Mac OS version and some extra features

Working on my thesis now. Really liked your app! The best I found by this moment. It makes my work productive and saves me a lot of time

However, I would like to also have a version for Mac OS with bookmarks synchronization. The search with bulean operations support (like in Obsidian, to filter search results more precisely), will be more useful in my opinion. Moreover, I wish you add the ability to edit selected text in bookmarks (like in Zotero), because many PDF's on Apple devices usually have break lines, which I would like to be able to remove in bookmark. And finally, working with tags would be much more efficient if I could group my bookmarks by several tags at once

So, to conclude, this app is really unique, and I wish you could make it much better in the near future!

monthly fee to use!

This should be disclosed up front, is seen nowhere in the description here or on the website. 1 star given for lack of transparency, not the app itself, which I deleted.

Ios 16.7, iphone 8 plus

The app demonstrates a low level of stability, both in cloud mode and when using the phone's internal storage. **Issues:** 1. **Unstable Performance:** The app frequently freezes, significantly hindering usability. 2. **Indexing Problems:** While the index is built, the user is unable to access documents, creating additional difficulties. 3. **Reboots:** The app often restarts, negatively impacting overall performance and user experience.

Very useful search utility!

I recently started using an external NVME drive that I can connect to the USB-C port of my iPhone, a feature that Apple now supports in iPhone 15. When I connect the external drive, I have access to thousands of my files that I’ve copied to the drive, but I needed a good way search for particular files using keywords contained within them. easySearch was the solution. With this app, I am able to connect my external drive and add any folder from the NVME drive as a desired search location. The app will then index the contents of that folder including the sub folders for supported file types (including txt files, PDF files, Word Docs, Excel, etc.). Once the indexing is complete, you can search for key words, or multiple key words and the app will present a list of files containing your search terms. You can then tap on any of of those documents to open the file and the app will highlight the searched term within the file. From there you can proceed to modify the file by sending it to the desired editing app (i.e. open .docx file in Microsoft 365 mobile Word App). For those needing the capability I just described, this app is great! It was even able to find searched words within images. The app also supports searching of cloud locations like iCloud, Dropbox and OneDrive, but I have not used it for this purpose yet.

It seems to work pretty good

Better than the stock iPhone reach option

Nicht so begeistert…

…habe PREMIUM als Monatsabo probiert und sofort wieder gekündigt.

Great For Searching Multiple PDFs

Great app for searching multiple PDFs. Tried many, I mean many, app trying to find this feature.

Will buy a subscription but hopefully they don’t change anything and ruin this great research tool.

AMAZING

It can index and search all kinds of file types and fast! Better than pdf search app

Super PDF Text Finder

This app is definitely the result of a lot of hard work and deserves a lot of respect. Because this application can find the text you are looking for in thousands of pdf files at the same time in seconds. This application has very advanced text search features. I have been testing it for a long time and using it for scientific research. The application developer is very interested. As a user, I will make suggestions for improvements to add more beautiful features. Thanks to the developer for making my work easier.

I HATE IPHONES

Uninstalling 😞

Best mass-search app I’ve found, MacOS or iOS

This allows me to search through thousands of html files and hundreds of textbook PDFs to locate specific phrases that I need to locate quickly for reference. After initial indexing (which takes ~25 minutes for my massive collection), response is near-instantaneous on my 2G 12.9” iPad Pro. Results are highlighted and shown in a sidebar. KeepIt for Mac was the only comparable option for me, and that worked poorly on the PDFs, didn’t have a (subscription-free) mobile option, and costs $60.

Looking for this for a long time!

This app will be a game changer for me in terms of reading and research. Years ago on Windows I loved a file search app called Agent Ransack, and then used a similar tool on
Linux called Search Monkey. Attempts to compile SM for MacOS never really worked and I found alternatives that were OK-ish.

I have tried so many hacks to get something similar for iPadOs and they’ve all failed until now. Thank you for working with Files instead of requiring full import into yet another app. Thank you for supporting content search across multiple epubs—that was what convinced me to buy premium. I’m so, so pleased and can’t thank you enough!

didn't work for me at all

i don't have all afternoon to try to figure out why it won't find a single item

iCloud

Ich habe in iCloud ein Ordner ausgewählt mit mehreren Unterordner da drunter. Keine Chance , „Indexing Failed“
Das war’s und ich habe Premium gekauft

Fantastic app with some (serious) weaknesses

The index search is great, but accented Cyrillic letters like „а́, е́, и́, о́“ don't seem to be processed like „а, е, и, о“ which results in files being found, but the matches in the files are not displayed. In order for them to be displayed, you have to type the accented letter in the search bar (within the found file). So it would be great if the app had the option to do a "similarity search" and ignore the diacritical characters.
