Worked very well tracking my trail run
I prefer to run trails over roads. So, getting basic info like distance traveled and elevation changes really requires a GPS tracker. I chose this app because it's one of the few compatible with the older iPhone 5 (IOS v7) that I carry while running for music. It didn't give me any hassles maintaining GPS lock despite the rugged National Park terrain. The data, map, and charts tracked accurate. The info displays in an engineer style dashboard, which I like more than my fitbit hr data presentation. BTW, much more accurate distance tracking than my fitbit. I give it a low 4 star for doing a good job at basic GPS tracking, and legacy IOS compatibility. I might have rated higher, but it turns out this 'LITE' version is actually a 1-time use, 20 minute max DEMO. So, it didn't even track half of my run. LITE means a low-feature version of the full feature product, not 20 minute, 1-time use of the full feature product. Despite feeling a bit misled over the 'LITE' label, I like it enough to buy the full feature version. Hope that version doesn't have another unexpected limitation.

EasyTrails is a great program, though I have noticed that once the program acquires a GPS signal and starts recording a track, if it losses GPS signal it will stop recording data from then on rather then trying to require signal and continuing. For example my 10hr recording only had the first 2 hours and then stopped recording data even though it said it was still recording the track. If this is a battery saving feature then it would at least be appreciated for there to be the option for the app to keep seeking GPS and resume recording data for the track as soon as it can instead of giving up.

Crippled Lite version
Nice app, great functionality, great interface, but can only store one track and records for limited time (<30 min). I could not even complete a test because it ran out of time & didn't save the data! Please state differences between Lite & paid version clearely!
Great programme
Fantastic programme for everything I do. From walking, cycling to flying my Microlight. Great chart info for everything from speed to elevation. Save and fill log books in from data.

I haven't been out gold panning with this app yet but, I can see that it will work very well for me. I will probably upgrade after I strike the mother load this afternoon. Oh Ya!
Never locks into GPS
In spite of being in the SF Bay area with pretty good cell coverage, it never gets past the "searching location" screen. Looking for something better.

Lite ver has a very short limit on rec of tracks. Really, like 1 km or smth... I know it's free

Unreliable.
Even when not moving speedometer is still supposedly registering movement.
Preview a waste of time
The free version is so limited you can't tell if it is worthwhile or not. Don't bother.
Not going to buy
Like others, I'm complaining that the limited time is too short. I can't evaluate it since it won't record my 30 min bike ride. Since I can't evaluate, I won't buy the full product. Going to try others instead.
A useless lite version
I installed this light version to try it out before paying for the full version, but it is impossible to use. It claims to allow u to save 1 track. However, it comes with a saved demo track, which respirate every time it is deleted, effectively not allowing you to save as single track. It also only let's you log a very short trail, which is silly on it's own but also means u can never look at your track because it won't save over the demo track!

Decent, a little clunky though
First of all to the dingbats complaining about the time limit...the purpose of a "Lite" version of any app is for you to TRY IT OUT before you buy it. Of course they have to a put a limit on it somehow so you can see how it works and if you like it BUY IT. "Lite" is the app store's version of a demo, dummies.
Anyway...as far as the EasyTrails app goes it does a great job of recording your gps track. Easy to export via email and use elsewhere. I was interested in it because it can load the map in the background. However, it moves a bit clunky...I wish it had a smoother motion as it traced your track. The design also has room for improvement. If these are worked out it could be a 5 star app easy. For now, it's a 3.

Does a good job for about 20 minutes
This app claims to be a "lite" version of the paid app. This is a demo at best. A lite app implies some degree of reduced functionanlity but still a functional app. A demo is a fully functional app that is crippled by time or other limitations. In this case, it is a single track for about 20 minutes, however the full/majority of the functionality works within that single track for up to 20 minutes. They need to rename the app or change the way this lite version works.

Deceptive labelling
So why can't people be upfront. This is not a lite version, it is barely a demo version! It does not tell you that it won't even last out a ONE mile walk. If it is going to be a lite version, it should still be useful! This is NOT!
If they called it a demo, after looking at it at home for 2 minutes before I went for the walk I probably would have purchased it. Now I doubt it!

I've downloaded almost all the free apps comperable to this one. I got some amazingly incorrect feedback from several of them, including my first 2.2 minute mile whilst strolling... This was not only the easiest to use, but also the most accurate. Am buying full version right after I hit send.
Current location not working!
Tried on iPhone 3gs in the uk.
